Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
Someone should start a petition to bring the series back online using social media and any other path so the network can see what a enjoyable and inspiring show this is
I just now read about Signed, Sealed and Delivered is not returning as a weekly series and am horribly disappointed. This is a wonderful show and I’ve been waiting for it to return. The Christmas movie was great. I loved It and if there are only going to be movies I sincerely hope they continue beyond 2015. The ideal would be the weekly series with a movie or 2 in between. Either way I truly love this show and hope it continues for several years. There isn’t enough quality tv ouy there.
My family loved this show. My teenage daughters really enjoy it, which is wonderful!! I couldn’t wait each week for the next show. My husband really liked it too! Its a great wholesome family show. We need more of these shows instead of the trash on some of the other channels. Please bring it back as a series as well.
I’m really sad that they stopped producing this show. Occasional movies aren’t the same.
Hallmark, i am dissappointed . The best series on tv. I would like you to have the series and also make some specials. The best of both worlds. Please do not cancel this show. It would be a very big mistake for Hallmark. I look forward to watching this show all the time. The characters are wonderful and relates to everyday happenings. Put back on air as soon as possible. Thanks.
I really enjoyed the weekly episodes.
I love the show so as long as it keeps coming, I am happy!! Hate to wait til November but think the 2 hr movie idea can give more time to develope a plot and enjoy the wonderful cast!
I like it weekly, when is the next 2 hour one going to be on ?
I would love to see this continue as a weekly series, my wife and I looked forward each week to an engaging, positive and uplifting series.
We have watched the movies and enjoy them, but given the option we would clearly enjoy a weekly series more.
I was so looking forward to a new season of Signed, Sealed, Delivered. I had missed the movies because I wasn’t in a location either time that had Hallmark channels. When I went to look up where I could find the movies. . .I saw that the series had been canceled. I was crushed. I loved the series and I would watch it on tv and then over again through the website.
While movies are great–there is nothing like a series where you look forward to the day it is on.
Reconsider PLEASE–there is so little good tv out there.
I have watched all the TV shows Hallmark has been making since Cedar Cove and Sign, Sealed, Delivered is the best by far. Please put it back on as a weekly show. I just watched the movie last week (Paris) and wondered when the show was startng back up and found out it wasn’t. I am disappointed. Please reconsider.
This is a great series. I love the premise and all the old fashion ideas once again on display. The characters are warm and sincere and promotes values that are lacking in our social interaction today. It is humorous with out the put downs and degrading remarks. Really can’t say enough good about this show and I have missed it. Series or movies whatever keeps it going is fine with me
I am very disappointed by this decision. My family and I love this show. Why this decision was made is beyond me. I hope, Hallmark that you change your mind. This show was excellently done and the cast was wonderful. A few movies is not enough, it needs to stay a series.
Signed sealed delivered is one of the most enjoyable tv shows / movies I have seen in many years. The characters are delightful and the storyline is always interesting. I love the subtle humor and the richness of each of the characters. I’ll take it any day over anything else on tv. Please keep the show alive!!
There is too much sex, violence, and bad language on the air right now. It’s nice to have a show that embraces what’s is still good and kind in the world. I am sorely disappointed to find out one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long while will not be a weekly show, but instead have special 2 hr movies. I will be there to watch every movie to come. It’s been far too long since I’ve watched a show that makes me feel so much joy, and love. Signed, sealed, and delivered makes my heart happy. Thank… Read more »
