CROWN MEDIA FAMILY NETWORKS ANNOUNCES ‘SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED’ FROM MARTHA WILLIAMSON, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF ‘TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL,’ MOVES TO HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES WITH NEW EXTENDED FORMAT
Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

ABOUT MARTHA WILLIAMSON
Martha Williamson made television history when her CBS series “Touched By An Angel” set a new standard for an inspirational family drama when it grew to a weekly audience of 25 million viewers during its initial nine year run. As Executive Producer of the ground-breaking series, she was the visionary who guided the series into previously uncharted territory with her unique brand of storytelling that produced more than strong ratings; it changed lives. She went on to seal her place in history when she became the first woman to solely executive produce two one-hours simultaneously with “Promised Land,” which aired for three years on CBS. She began her career in comedy with the producing teams for Carol Burnett and Joan Rivers and went on to write and produce situation comedies such as “The Facts of Life,” “Family Man” and “Jack’s Place” for all the networks before making the transition to one-hour drama. Her work has been inducted into the Television and Radio Hall of Fame and honored with numerous awards, including the Edward R. Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?

Not really I looked forward to Sunday knights to sitting down and watching signed sealed delivered . I love this show.!!! I would like it to stay as a weekly show. Please
love this series I have been waiting for its return. Would have liked a weekly but a two hour monthly is better than none.
We need more series of this caliber it makes you feel good and it has wonderful life lessons and story endings. I was also a big follower of “Touched by an angel” I will be watching for it NOVEMBER 23, 2015!
In the midst of all the mindless, trash shows on TV, Signed, Sealed, Delivered was the shining light! It’s been a very long time since a show with such high moral values has been on TV. I have loved every episode. They are heart-warming, interesting and funny. I just feel good after watching one of them. I much prefer the weekly series, but the 2 hour movies are better than loosing the show completely. Please keep them coming. I pay for an extra package with Dish just for SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED.
Please, please do not take this series off the air! There is very little TV viewing that can be enjoyed these days. I especially love the “hidden” Biblical messages that pop up in the dialog! I love this series and look forward to seeing it each week. Sadly I agree with one of the other statements that the viewers have very little say in the matter! I recently lost my husband and these programs have meant a lot to me!
The writers are wonderful. This show is well worth saving, keeping and watching. Please bring it back!
I also have any of the DVD’s that can be bought. I hope they begin to make the other ones so I can give myself a Christmas present!
I have all the episodes on d v d that you can get, but you cannot purchase the 2 hour movies, it would be nice if they would make them available.
It doesn’t seem to matter what we think. People have been posting their disappointment to the cancellation of this show for a year now and I have not seen one reply. The article (dated October 6th, 2014) states there will be a Christmas Show and then 3 two hour movies. They have all aired so does this mean it’s over? I added the Hallmark Mysteries and Movies Channel to our Direct TV (extra cost) for this series only. If Hallmark is not going to make any more of the movies I will cancel. I wish another network would pick this… Read more »
I totally agree! This is the very best show and i am thinking of doing away with dish network
Possibly one of the best TV shows ever written , my family just loves this , bring it back ..
It’s ten times better than the other junk that ‘s on TV. Inspiring, witty, enjoyable
I very very much love these movies, I just hate it when it takes so long to show the next one. So I watch these over and over again, alway checking to see when another one is coming on. Please don’t stop making these movies for a long time. I have saved alot of the other series Touched by an Angel. My favorite of all of those even though it was the last one was the one that Blessed My Heart the most. There is not much on TV that is decent to watch no more that is why I… Read more »
My wife and I found this series and really love the stories told by the wonderful postal workers!!! We hope they continue to produce great shows in this series…
Love love this series, I do prefer the weekly shows but as other have commented 1 2 hour series per month is acceptable as long as they keep coming. please do not cancel this series
I love this series and I am sorry they are going to stop the weekly shows, but if they do a monthly 2 hour movie I guess that would be acceptable. I do hope that whatever they decide it will be widely advertised and posted on the Hallmark emails that I get. There are so few shows anymore that are enjoyable at any age and it would be a shame to lose one of the best ones around!
I heartily agree!!
