The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

Stars was my show, I would watch season four. I stoped watching Empire but wouldn’t miss a beat of stars. Phone get turned off and I tune in. That’s crazy. One of the best show on tv.
Pissed is an understatement about how that ended! Hopefully Netflix picks The show up because y’all have ruined it not finishing it !
This is the only show on fox I watch.
What a shame. This is why I dont watch fox. You cancel once the viewers get close to the cast and show.

I am heartbroken. Star is my favorite show next to Empire! I don’t understand the show seemed to be doing well. I want no need answers! Then the way it ended…you can’t just cancel a show without giving its fans a fair well episode of something of the sort. That ending sucked ass and left me in tears and wondering wtf is going to happen in season 4 then I read there will be no season 4…Please reconsider and Bring Star back!
It’s a shame they are cancelling Star yet keeping Enpire which should have wrapped this season.
Star is fresh, unpredictable, and the music is top notch. They should try to get the show picked up somewhere else. There’s nothing like it on TV right now and there are numerous less talented shows in TV that they could have cancelled instead. Seems like there’s something else driving this cancellation, and not ratings.

I can’t understand y they would take star off, it’s one of the most amazing shows I have ever watched, and the way it left leaving people hanging like that. I love star you! I watched it every week. It needs to come back on

WTF why would you do this to me I am very disappointed that you canceled STAR. I watched it faithfully and stopped watching Empire because it started to be drawn out. Star was the best show that fox has ever aired and then yall go and do this Thanks you made my decision a lot easier for me I will no longer support Fox and I am removing the channel from my cable account. Yall just lost a lot of respect for this bull****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is very messed up Fox. Star was an amazing show it was the only show I watched on FOX. How can you have such an intense finale and not bring the show back for a least a 2hrs finale or a final season. The network should really think about bringing star back. Please. The actors and actresses were awesome please reconsider
I think it’s crazy. I know your moving Empire to the later time slot, you could have put Star on a different day. And to leave the fans hanging like that, just says that they don’t care what the fans think or feel.
