The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

You have disappointed not only myself but numerous others by cancelling Star. How could you kill off Mateo, Mrs. Ruby, Angel, and Cassie? Oh let’s not forget Davis was KIDNAPPED?!? WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS! Renew Season 4 of Star!
So very, very disappointed! I, like others want closure. How can you build up to a finale just to leave your LOYAL followers hanging!! So unfair. Hopefully another network will pick up and continue the show.
Are u kidding me how can y’all not have a season four? Did noahs mom kidnapped the baby? Did Carlotta’s sister survive the shot? Did anybody surive that was who for that matter. If Alex husband freaked about his GMA being raped what will he do about her being murdered WHAT HAPPENS NEXT The show must go on

I have watched since the very first one! I do not watch much TV but I LOVED Star. This was hurtful in so many ways to learn you canceled this show. Left us hanging on the season finale to find out you canceled it. I am so angry and disappointed in FOX! This show was the only reason I continued my cable when I have a smart TV so no need for paid TV now. Even purchased Hulu in case life took a turn and I missed Star on Wednesday Night.
