The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

This was one of my favorite TV shows! So sorry to see that it is canceled, especially after the season 3 finale. Please re-think this decision!
I am so pissed they canceled this. The season finale left us wondering what’s going to happen next. And now the next season has been cancelled. This is ridiculous.
i am very upset that they cancelled the show because this show helps people through rough times and now its not here and you waited till it got good to cancel it i m very upset really.
I can’t believe they cancelled this show!!!! Seriously!!!!!!! This is a talented cast and I just feel like once again a show that is outside the scope of norm for many gets cancelled. I hope another network picks it up. FOX sucks
That is very upsetting news because I really liked the show an you can’t just end the show the way they did because I was really looking forward to continuing watching star.
Extremely upset there will not be another season. My family loves this show and looks forward to it every week.
how are they going to cancel this show when it has better ratings and reviews than empire if they want to cancel the show cancel empire or if you’re going to cancel star at least give us one more season and answer all of our questions. I agree with other viewers I think Lee Daniels needs to shop around to other networks and see if another network will pick up the show

I agree. I really was hoping for a season 4 the last episode of season 3 left us hanging someone took Davies and we can’t find out who it is. If your going to cancel a show don’t do it by leaving us hanging at the end. Very upsetting.
