Syfy doesn’t restrict itself to science fiction programming. Some new fantasy dramas are making their debut in the 2017-18 television season. The first seasons of Ghost Wars and Superstition kicked off within a couple of weeks of each other. Is the supernatural still a safe bet for this cable channel? Will Superstition be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A horror drama, Superstition stars Mario Van Peebles, W. Earl Brown, Demetria McKinney, Diamond Dallas Page, Robinne Lee, Brad James, Morgana Van Peebles, T.C. Carter, and Tatiana Lia Zappardino. The Syfy series centers on the Hastings family of La Rochelle, Georgia. They happen to own the only funeral home and cemetery in town. Because of unexplained deaths due to demonic activity, the family also offers “afterlife care.” In addition to their arsenal of esoteric weapons, the Hastings employ extraordinary strength, alchemy, and their expertise in ancient lore and the occult, to keep the “Infernal problem” at bay, in this “landing patch” of a town. **Status update below.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

What do you think? Do you like the Superstition TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on Syfy?
**6/6/2018 Status Update: Superstition has been cancelled by Syfy. Details here.
I think this show is exciting and due to the fact that a lot of our shows or Syfy shows are cancelled I think this is great but it just needs to be promoted a lot more heavily promoted because of people don’t know they won’t go so please please please renew it
I agree this show really needs to be more heavily promoted. I don’t think many people are aware of the show.
You are so right Lisa
The show is fantastic! Please, please renew. I love Isaac and Bea’s relationship, their love affair. Enoying the chemistry with Calvin and Mae as well. Mario and Brad are both gorgeous, appealing to a large age range. And the guest appearances have been excellent as well with Jasmine Guy and Bruce Bruce.
Great show!!! Please, renew !!!!
Yes! please renew
Great show . Different , Actors good. Keep it Syfy,
Love the show, hope it is renewed.
It was good until the finale which looks like the writers totally quit and threw it together. It was terrible.
I hope we get a second season. I enjoy the show would like to see what else they come up with.
This show is good need another season
I think some episodes were okay but some were too unrealistic. That concept was could have been played out better it’s 2017 and thing on tv are so more up to date where sometimes you forget that it is tv. So I would say if they did come back the scenes need to be more realistic.
Hope it gets cancelled. Its pretty lame…
I love the show, great start! Give it a chance.
LOVE the show! It started great and just gets better with each episode. It holds one of the top spots on my DVR and needs to stay on the air. So many things that this show can do and subjects to cover with the Hastings family. This show is the new hit for sure!!

I love this show. I hope the ratings go up. I would love for it to be renewed. This is an awesome sit on the edge of your seat entertainment feast. SYFY has definitely failed to promote this show. Shame on you SYFY. I will definitely be watching it on which ever network it will be airing it !!
Completely disagree, this show is already doing some great world building. Has a black family front and center in scfi and the supernatural and has so much room for great storytelling mixed in with the gore and mystical. Syfy just needs to promote it more. I’m enjoying this show and rooting for it so much.
This must be one of the worst Syfy shows ever made. Mario van Peebles looks like a geriatric cardboard actor. His daughter, Morgana, comes off as slightly cross eyed and flat. What a mess this show is. Wouldn’t surprise me if Syfy shuttered soon based on the fact that nearly all of its shows average under 500k people and dismal ratings. Please stop the pain and burn off the rest of Superstition’s episode in a completely understandable mercy flush.
Smh. What a dik
