When it comes to scripted TV shows, Syfy has had both hits and flops. Which of the current series will be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Syfy execs consider a lot of data when deciding whether to renew or cancel a TV series, but ratings are a major factor.
Scripted Syfy Network shows listed: 12 Monkeys, Aftermath, The Ark, Astrid & Lilly Save the World, Bitten, Blood Drive, Channel Zero, Childhood’s End, Chucky, Continuum, Dark Matter, Day of the Dead, Deadly Class, Defiance, Dominion, The Expanse, Ghost Wars, Happy!, Haven, Helix, Hunters, Incorporated, Killjoys, Krypton, Lost Girl, The Magicians, Nightflyers, Olympus, Reginald the Vampire, Resident Alien, Superstition, SurrealEstate, Vagrant Queen, Van Helsing, Wynonna Earp, and Z Nation.
Last updated: Most recent ratings added for The Ark.

A couple of notes about these charts:
These figures are updated automatically as new ratings are released (usually a day or so after the broadcasts). The averages are based on the final national numbers (live plus same day viewing). For technical reasons, I have to resort them manually so feel free to let me know if I missed something.
The demo numbers, which are typically most important to the broadcast networks, aren’t quite as vital to cable channels because their audiences are usually much smaller. Demo numbers are typically reported using the 10ths decimal place (2.4, for example). In the averages, I’m using an extra decimal for easier ranking.
What do you think? Are you surprised by any of the ratings? Which shows should be doing better? Which one do you think will be cancelled next?
Syfy had some wonderful shows, the stuff
they have now will never take the place of
What they had before.
I really think they didn’t even recognize.
How good they had it with all those
Great, and may I say wonderful series
Syfy use to rock !!! It just there now.
Looking at two girls trying to save the
World, it’s just killing me softly,
It is just a extreme time waster
Syfy you took your eye off the prize
Start making some real series again
Want my residential alien show love it where’s it at now
Oh please, keep Resident Alien going. I love this show! It has a great story line and tons of humor. It’s a keeper!
Love love SurrealEstate! More Episodes please
Canceled chucky original classic movie is the best nothing compare tv show ridiculous stupid. Tired of remake, spin-off, sequel series enough already.
Oh BTW Syfy, remember this: the people who currently have the buying powers are not the 18-25 anymore. It’s us who have been working our entire lives and stacking up the money to buy anything whenever, whatever we want. Yes, us, the baby boomers. I know our times will come. But until then, let us enjoy what we have.
Watch Surreal Estates. You wont’ disappoint. The main cast is AWESOME!! but talk about guest casts. They are in the league of their own. Good job casting department! Excellent job writers !! and I never hooked on any show before. Surreal Estates got me hooked. Now I am waiting for season 2 to be renewed first of course. Please do so !!!
I don’t understand you you bring out Van Helsing season 5 and like I said it’s not not that bad show but it’s nothing like a Wynonna Earp everybody Rants and Raves about Wynonna Earp but you’re hear anything about Helsing Heling there’s but there’s constantly people ranting and raving about Wynonna Earp you don’t give them a season 5 the fans even make. conic con like they did wynonna Earp and I believe that if you would bring out a season 5 or just let it keep going for as long as the actors and directors want to do… Read more »
I think one of the main reasons why they decided to end Wynonna Earp at 4 seasons, besides low ratings and lack of direction, was that the company behind Wynonna Earp made a deal to foot most of the bill to have it air on Syfy and they struggled to come up with the revenue to pay for it especially the last couple of seasons. I think Syfy just didn’t want to deal with their financial situation anymore since the ratings were so bad. The company is a comic book company that the people evolved has got all their eggs… Read more »
I don’t watch that show
So, now they have ONE SHOW! Great job, guys! Whoever is in charge there needs to fired and then fired again for good measure!
Other than Resident Alien…what does the syf-fy channel have to do with Sci-Fi? The question answers itself.
This used to be a good network once upon a time. I don’t know what Comcast is doing with it. It almost seems like they just want to cancel it.
Resident Alien so funny this hilarious show for syfy I can’t wait to see next season.
I wish that worldwide views would be taken into consideration re: ratings. “Wynonna Earp” has a dedicated, worldwide fan base! I really wish Syfy would reconsider cancelling this show.
The rest of the world doesn’t want to pay for it. Just watching it means nothing. They originally didn’t have enough money to make this season. A miracle happened.
I agree, we had several favorite shows on SyFy but rarely watch it any longer because they keep canceling the shows we love. I hope the management of SyFy enjoys losing viewers because it has found a sure fire way of doing just that.
Yes, let’s renew all FAILING shows, just like what CW does, and now, it… Is about to be sold. I’m pretty sure your cancelled shows were always losing viewers prior to cancellation.
You have to wonder who makes the decisions on programming at Syfy. I know that they are relying primarily on movies, reruns, and some “reality” shows; but you can compare the ratings of series they used to have with series that they currently have and see that they have pretty much lost their audience for the network. They cancelled series with much higher viewership; and thus lost those viewers. Now they have trouble getting viewers to even bother to tune in to the network to see what new shows or returning shows they have. Way to drive a network to… Read more »
