If you need proof that The Firm is doomed to be cancelled by NBC, you just have to look at the show’s ratings. Not only did the new legal series bomb on Thursday nights but it’s currently being trounced on Saturday nights as well — airing opposite CSI: New York repeats, 20/20, and FOX’s forgotten Q’Viva! The Chosen reality series.
The ratings for The Firm have been so poor that one had to start wondering if NBC might bump the series off the Saturday schedule as well. Well, that’s what they’re doing — at least for one week.
This week’s episode of The Firm has been replaced by a rerun of the 90-minute premiere of Fashion Star (which debuts tonight). That will be followed by an encore of the first episode of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, which first aired in January. Rockers returns to the NBC schedule on April 4th.
On March 24th, NBC has slotted an episode of the USA Network series Fairly Legal at 8pm, a slot that had been filled by reruns of Smash. The network hasn’t announced which episode of Fairly Legal will air but the season two opener (which will run this Friday on USA) seems likely.
The network is shaking up their Saturday night schedule and if they can come up with better numbers than what The Firm has been getting, the legal drama could easily be off the schedule for good. NBC has aired just 10 of the show’s 22 episodes thus far.
What do you think? Are you still watching NBC’s The Firm? Do you watch the episodes on Saturday nights, on demand or online? Would you be upset if NBC pulled it for good?

I like this show…finally a show that’s not non-scripted ( dancing with whoever, surviving a make-believe stranding, cheapening the words idol and hero, the list goes on…).
So, who is the moron-in-charge of scheduling at NBC? They whine about not having good ratings, but when a good show gets put on the air, they can’t wait to pre-empt it, or move it around in the schedule so you can’t find it!
Just my thoughts…
God wants many more seasons of The Firm. May his will be done!
Dont cancel the show. I am just starting to watch it online and love it. I dont know if NBC did a lousy job of publicity or what, but I wasnt even aware of th show till I came across it online.
Please Do NOT cancel The Firm – great show – need to move it off Saturday night!
I love the show FIRM!! I DVR it then watch it another night. Actually I do this with all the shows I watch. That way I can fast forward through the comicerals. Do they count when we record? Not everyone wants to watch comedies all the time. Just keep the FIRM on!!!
I would be sad if The Firm got cancelled for good. It is a really good show. I record it and watch it when I am not working.
Please do not cancel!!!! We love this program.
Please do not cancel this show. I am really sick of reality shows and all the million NCIS ect. These cop shows and crime shows are just to much. The firm was a welcome change.
This show is amazing but it is true that it may be too much for the average viewer to understand.
I love this show & have always looked forward to the ‘next’ show. Find it exciting. Don’t understand how it can’t be that popular
It’s very shamed to be heard about cancelling this show. I thought it’s great show and Im hardly waiting to see the next episode. Wish they should continue if not, at least they should finish it what they started. That’s all I can say.
I think this show is really really great. Love the acting, the actors, the plot line – what’s not to love about Josh Lucas and the rest of teh cast. Unfortuneately, I think it may be too smart for the vast majority of TV viewers who seem to thrive on Reality Shows and half hour comedies rather then the thrilling, clever hour long dramas. It would be a shame if this got cancelled but maybe one of the cale networks will pick it up and we can continue to enjoy it on say, Bravo or TNT and let NBC continue… Read more »
Please, please DO NOT CANCEL!!!!!!!!! We love it.
I love it. Don’t cancel.
It is a greatly crafted thriller!! Please don’t cancel!
Reconsider please plans to cancel The Firm. I enjoy and it challenges my thinking. We have enough blah shows which don’t require the audience to become involved. Keep this one on the air, we need something that’s not run of the mill.
