If you need proof that The Firm is doomed to be cancelled by NBC, you just have to look at the show’s ratings. Not only did the new legal series bomb on Thursday nights but it’s currently being trounced on Saturday nights as well — airing opposite CSI: New York repeats, 20/20, and FOX’s forgotten Q’Viva! The Chosen reality series.
The ratings for The Firm have been so poor that one had to start wondering if NBC might bump the series off the Saturday schedule as well. Well, that’s what they’re doing — at least for one week.
This week’s episode of The Firm has been replaced by a rerun of the 90-minute premiere of Fashion Star (which debuts tonight). That will be followed by an encore of the first episode of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, which first aired in January. Rockers returns to the NBC schedule on April 4th.
On March 24th, NBC has slotted an episode of the USA Network series Fairly Legal at 8pm, a slot that had been filled by reruns of Smash. The network hasn’t announced which episode of Fairly Legal will air but the season two opener (which will run this Friday on USA) seems likely.
The network is shaking up their Saturday night schedule and if they can come up with better numbers than what The Firm has been getting, the legal drama could easily be off the schedule for good. NBC has aired just 10 of the show’s 22 episodes thus far.
What do you think? Are you still watching NBC’s The Firm? Do you watch the episodes on Saturday nights, on demand or online? Would you be upset if NBC pulled it for good?

The Firm is an excellent well-written show. It is similar to Ashley Judd’s missing but more dimensional. Unfortunately people are less interested in watching a show that builds on the previous week. If NBC chooses not to show all the episodes I hope they will at least make them available on line to watch.
Please do not cancel this show. I really enjoy the plot and the great acting. I don’t think that this show is being promoted enough. It is an excellent show. I do not watch a lot of TV and I am very tired of all of the reality shows. Please keep this show.
I’m with all you guys that want to see this show renewed. The current plot line can go only so far, but creative writers can find a way to keep the suspense high. I can’t understand why it has failed to generate an audience, especially in view of the miserable shows that seem to continue season after season.
I, too, really enjoy this show. I’m so disappointed to see it’s being cancelled.
My husband and I look forward to watching it each week. We DVR if we know we want be able to see it. Hoping they will not cancel it.
We think this show is awesome! It has action, plot, character, drama, and excitement! Why would they want to cancel a GOOD show?
Why is it that every time we finally get a decent show on tv it gets cancelled halfway through? The Firm is based on a story written by one of the best authors, the acting is superb….why would NBC cancel it? Stupid!!
I absolutely LOVE this show!!! FINALLY a show with a good storyline and cliff hangers each week! It’s also a clean, decent show and the actors are good too. I will be more than upset if it’s cancelled! I am so sick of nonsense, trashy shows!
Such a good show!!! ugh!
My husband & I love the show. We DVR it every week & watch it every week. Please do not cancel it – it is a great show!
Damn good show, hope it doesn’t get cancelled!
I don’t have TV at home on purpose…too much garbage on TV to make it worthwhile. However, my Dad got me hooked on The Firm. It’s one of the ABSOLUTE BEST SHOWS since the Law and Order series. I go out of my way to watch it at my folks’ house or on the Internet EVERY WEEK. PLEASE DO NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT CANCEL THIS AWESOME SHOW!!!!!
This a great show , one that i can watch with my entire family.
I often wonder is that why because its a show that hasn’t show a lot adult situations
Love this show ……. I got a PVR just so I wouldn’t miss anything. I don’t understand why people aren’t watching
Great actng. Excellent story line. Suspensful. Characters to care about. Believable plot. Serial storyline better than most others in it’s catagory. Perhaps it wasn’t promoted well.
