If you need proof that The Firm is doomed to be cancelled by NBC, you just have to look at the show’s ratings. Not only did the new legal series bomb on Thursday nights but it’s currently being trounced on Saturday nights as well — airing opposite CSI: New York repeats, 20/20, and FOX’s forgotten Q’Viva! The Chosen reality series.
The ratings for The Firm have been so poor that one had to start wondering if NBC might bump the series off the Saturday schedule as well. Well, that’s what they’re doing — at least for one week.
This week’s episode of The Firm has been replaced by a rerun of the 90-minute premiere of Fashion Star (which debuts tonight). That will be followed by an encore of the first episode of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, which first aired in January. Rockers returns to the NBC schedule on April 4th.
On March 24th, NBC has slotted an episode of the USA Network series Fairly Legal at 8pm, a slot that had been filled by reruns of Smash. The network hasn’t announced which episode of Fairly Legal will air but the season two opener (which will run this Friday on USA) seems likely.
The network is shaking up their Saturday night schedule and if they can come up with better numbers than what The Firm has been getting, the legal drama could easily be off the schedule for good. NBC has aired just 10 of the show’s 22 episodes thus far.
What do you think? Are you still watching NBC’s The Firm? Do you watch the episodes on Saturday nights, on demand or online? Would you be upset if NBC pulled it for good?

My husband and I love the show. It is one of the few with good writing that makes you think, good acting that draws you into their world, and leaves you wanting more at the end of each episode. Reality TV is not for us. Good drama like The Firm is!
Please reconsider canceling The FIRM. It’s much better that all those brainless
reality shows. It’s great and we will really miss it. There are not very many choices
left for entertaining smart shows . Please don’t cancel.
The Firm is great TV. I am a church worker and often home on Saturday evenings. This is engaging, good acting, and good story. Its much better than reruns or some of the other drivel out there. If it were on a weekday other than Thursday that might work. Thursday was a pretty solid schedule with programs that had a good following. Thus, starting it on Thursday was a mistake.
I had no idea this show was going to be cancelled until I went online. I am extremely disappointed!!! I do not understand how your ratings are projected however everyone that I talk to LOVES this show!! It has a great plot and the acting is GREAT!! Maybe it is the advertising for this show or the time slot that is the problem. For example, the WALKING DEAD the acting is horrible and the storyline appears to be fabricated week to week and then they change how the Zombies die. Between bad acting and terrible reality TV shows….my intelligence is… Read more »
loved the show, don’t cancel it.
Love the firm I can’t believe they would cancel such a good show, They need to give it
a second chance .. Love the show, the cast is great.. …get rid of some of your silly shows
that know one watches……………..KEEP THE FIRM……………..
One of my favorite shows that my wife and I love to watch. I think it would do better during the week. Don’t cancel this awesome show. Keep up the good shows.
This show is great! There are few shows availabe that we can all watch together. I have to agree that Saturday night is not the best night for TV. But please leave the Firm on the air move it to a week night. Put it against some of those stupid reality show, or better yet, replace a reality show with the Firm.
I love The Firm and hope they don’t cancel
the firm is one of the top three shows that are out right now do not cancelled thisshow because it is awesome.
Maybe if they would have put it on a week night the ratings would have been better. Hardly a lot of people watch tv on Sat. night. Give it a chance on a week night. I really like this show
I really like The Firm! I am sorry that this show is in jeopardy because there is so much potential to the show but on a different night than Thursday’s. I have found that I have been able to watch the program on Saturday’s versus the busy schedule of Thursday’s. NBC is trying to compete with programs that are more established on Thursday’s and Saturday’s. I am not sure if the networks receiving money from the cable networks but I love the fact that Bravo, Style Network and WE offer the opportunity to review the same show over and over… Read more »
I love The Firm. It’s not like another lawyer show. It’s really a great show.Keeps u on the edge. Can’t wait til next episode comes on. Please don’t take it off. I love this show!!!!!
Really?! NBC is nuts for canceling this show! It is intelligent, suspenseful, and creative. Let it run its course and give us some substance to look forward to watching. Reality, talent competitions, and inane sit coms are insulting. The major networks are all screwed up. Who is in charge, Animal House alumni? Come on!
Please, please DO NOT cancel The Firm. I love it and so do several
in my office.
The Firm is one of the few shows that requires my attention. I love the fast pace storyline, the flashbacks, the actors and the characters they play…..all of it. Please don’t cancel this show. Perhaps the ratings would improve if NBC could find a time slot and be consistant with it because the show keeps the viewer on the edge of his/her seat and eagerly waits for the next episode that doesn’t come, sometimes, for 2 or 3 weeks. Arggg…
I agree with all of the The Firm’s supporters. This is a superb program and I sincerely hope that NBC reconsiders or someone else picks it up.
