Last season, The Last Man on Earth had a positive start in the ratings but then the numbers declined as the weeks progressed. FOX renewed it for a second season anyway. Will the numbers drop lower or will they rise this time? Cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
The Last Man on Earth begins in 2020 — a year after a deadly virus has swept the plant. Phil Miller (Will Forte) believes he’s the last human alive but soon discovers he’s not alone. The rest of the cast includes Kristen Schaal, January Jones, Mel Rodriguez, and Cleopatra Coleman.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/24 update: FOX has renewed this comedy series for a third season. Details here.
5/16 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The first season of The Last Man on Earth averaged a 1.63 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.99 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like The Last Man on Earth TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a third season?
this show is amazing!!!if theres not gonna be a season 4 then atleast finish season 3!!
I would like to at least see the last 9 of the 18 episodes for season 3 please
My Family and I love this show. The plot line and the writing are excellent. This show is my weekly favorite show.
Absolutely love the show. Great cast and can’t wait to see future shows!

Whatttttt! It’s a great show! Yum guys are mad to think its sdropping! I’ve been waiting for season 3 :(!!!!! Cmon guys!
This steaming pile of excrement has been renewed for S3? Seriously? I watched from day 1 hoping it would magically transform into something remotely funny or interesting. It hasn’t. Writing and acting are abysmal and any humor failed to rise above 5th grade toilet level. I can only assume that some decision maker at Fox is taking some damn good drugs (or getting a bloody good kick-back?)!!
Will Forte was not funny on SNL. The character on Last Man on Earth is not funny. I find him obnoxious. I assume that as a writer Forte considers this funny. I tried to watch two episodes. Can’t bear to watch anymore.
I love this show! Please don’t cancel it! A lot of people watch their shows the next day or later! I hope hulu viewers are counted!
This show is like a dog run over by a truck. Awful to look at but still morbidly fascinating.
It’s a great show but needs consistency in airing. It was a great concept
This is a great show, But when they only show 2 or 3 episodes, then take 2 or 3 weeks off. then show a couple of more episodes then go on winter break for 3 or 4 months then show two or three more episodes then take another 3 weeks off, it turns people off from following the show. Again this is a great show and would probably do well if you would be more consistent with its airing.
