On The Soul Man, former Las Vegas singer Boyce Ballantine (Cedric the Entertainer) continues his new life as a minister in his father’s St. Louis church. The rest of the cast includes Niecy Nash, John Beasley, and Wesley Jonathan.

Note: The sixth episode was simulcast on Nick at Nite (0.17 rating with 551,000) and Nick Jr (0.02 in the demo with 115,000). The seventh episode drew a 0.03 on Nick Jr. The ninth episode attracted a 0.04 in the demo on Nick Jr and the 10th drew a 0.02 in the demo.
