The CW is starting over on Monday nights. They’ve cancelled both Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People after one season apiece.
On The Tomorrow People, a teenager (Robbie Amell) discovers that he has paranormal abilities. He also learns that others like him have gone into hiding because they’re being hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. The rest of the cast includes Luke Mitchell, Peyton List, Aaron Yoo, Mark Pellegrino, and Madeleine Mantock.
The drama debuted back in October and aired on Wednesday nights, paired with the network’s popular Arrow series. It performed well in the beginning but the ratings fell over the course of the season, dropping as low as a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.24 million viewers.
The series moved to Monday nights and lost even more viewers. In last April, The Tomorrow People hit a series low, drawing just 760,000 viewers.
The season (now series) finale, which aired this week, left plenty of story opportunities for a second season but it won’t be happening.

Its really frustrating to find a show thats well written and has great actors, then, find its cancelled and all because nobody knows how to advertise! And then theres stupid mindless movies and shows that get tons of hits even though it cant even compare to all these great shows that get cancelled. One of the few good tv series cancelled. You people whoevere you are have gotta get your heads on right! Its so frustrating to finally find a show that has an awesome script and actors, then find its been cancelled without a proper ending. All because of ratimgs or whatever. Well the problem is probably that theres no advertisment of any sort for the show because literally today I just found it on Netflix and its a fantastic show, at least me and my freinds and teammates think so. All I can say is “I WANT MORE TOMORROW PEOPLE” PRETTY PLEASE with sugar on top! I didn’t know it existed until my husband found it on Netflix. Now I am hooked! 🙁
Never knew Tomorrow People existed until wife and I found season 1 on Netflick. Loved it. Great cast, well written and acted. Very disappointed such a quality and interesting show will not have a second season. Rethink your decision and this time promote the series.
There should definitely be a second season of star crossed and the tomorrow people. I didn’t even know these shoes existed until I saw them in Netflix and have become addicted. You should at least air more seasons on Netflix and to possibly get more viewers you need to advertise your shows as much as possible because I have cable and don’t even get your channel for some reason but get every other channel that is thinkable because I love the other shows you air but have to wait for them on Netflix because I don’t hear or see advertisements… Read more »
why was it discontinued? this show deserves at the very least a second season to wrap everything up, it left way to much to be disired. which is why a second season would score major ratings. Please bring it back for a second season im begging you.

I really hope you can change your mind on making season 2 of The Tomorrow People!! This show was amazing!! The final episode how it ended made me want to watch more!! And I found out it was canceled!! What!!?? That’s impossible!! Their’s got to be another season!!
There should be a second season of both shows I really got into both of them. I mean who makes a TV show then don’t go through with it. I really hope they change their mind about this.
There needs to be a second season I don’t understand why you would make a TV show that only has one season and leave the last episode so open its crap it seems like everyTime there’s a good show that doesn’t get super fantastic ratings they leave it open for another season for absolutely no reason
This show was amazing it was a show that actually made me talk to it which means I like it because I get into it. And of course they cancel the second season. It would be awesome if they actual kept going with the season 2.
Very disappointed there is not another season. I’ve been waiting for it and ready to purchase this season.
I was a fan of the Tomorrow people as a kid. And have loved this one as an adult.
Bring it back
I hate it when directors make a really fantastic show and then they don’t continue it. If they were going to end with 1 season they should not have made the last episode a cliffhanger. I highly doubt that I am the only one who will be extremely mad if they don’t continue the series.
