NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

So upset its not coming back on yet another show that relates to real life for so many in the world but gets kicked for no good reason
I was looking forward to the next season of the village. There are so few really good shows to watch these days. The actors and storylines were relatable and made you feel and want to be involved in their lives every week. I am so disappointed the show was cancelled. Bring it back! I found this show by accident. Maybe if it was on at a better time and had some advertising, more people would have known about it and watched it.
I LOVED THIS SHOW. IT REMINDED ME OF MY GROWING UP IN A MANHATTAN TENEMENT. SO DISAPPOINTED THAT IT WAS CANCELLED. I WOULD DEFINITELY WATCH IF WERE TO COME BACK.
I’m very disappointed The Village was cancelled. I really liked it. It was unlike many of the other shows out there today. A nice change from the countless hospital/medical shows on the air currently.
I really like The Village and am extremely disappointed that it was cancelled! It was a very good show that I was looking forward to the second season of. I hope someone picks it up for another season!

Utterly disappointed that the village wont be returning. It was such a good feel show. Something that is needed in this world of not good feelings. I am not a huge tv watcher. But the village was 1 of my 2 shows that i watched. Hopefully it can be brought back.
VERY disappointed it’s been cancelled. It became my favorite show of last season. So many interesting people with interesting stories to tell. Bring it back, PLEASE!
Disappointed that it’s not returning. Loved the show’s humanity and the actors were wonderful. The writing had a lot of heart and I still think about how the people at The Village are doing. I liked the artistic component and the while there was plenty of drama, the lack of violence was refreshing.

I watched every episode of The Village. It was such a n inspirational and relatable show. I hate the fact that it has been cancelled. I wish that they would at least make an attempt to film a season two to see if ratings go up.

I loved this show. I talked about love, friendship, and hope. People from all over can relate to the different story lines. This is heartbreaking. Bring the show back!!!!
