TV show description:
An American drama, from creator Mike Daniels, The Village TV show centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least.
Over time, the residents of the Village have forged a powerful bond. They are more than neighbors — they’re friends and a family of choice.
The “Villagers” include Sarah Campbell (McManus) a nurse and single mother of a teenager; Gabe Napolitano (Kagasoff), a young law student; Ana Behzadi (Atias), a mother who fears the reach of ICE will touch her US-born son; military veteran Nick Porter (Christie); and Ron and Patricia Davis (Faison and Toussaint), who anchor the whole gang.
Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Patricia (Lorraine Toussaint) deals with her diagnosis, which leads to an unexpected chance at re-connection for Ron (Frankie Faison). Enzo (Dominic Chianese) enlists Gabe (Daren Kagasoff) to pull off a grand gesture. Ben (Jerod Haynes) faces his future and his past.

I so liked the whole attitude of this series. It dealt with so many issues of reality and how important it is for us to unite, not fight. I am saddened by the cancellation.
Ypu put a show on that has great stories, room for growth, lots of Family Love, a wholesome show .and then you cancle it ?
How can you do that ? You need more than one season to know if it’s going to fly! I want to see Enzo get married! I want to see it pat comes through surgery.
And what about Anna?

I loved this show and was extremely disappointed to hear it was cancelled. The cast was amazing and the music each episode rocked too. Bad call NBC. There is so much trash on TV and this is the show that got cancelled? Sad.
I love this show! I can’t believe it’s been cancelled. Maybe it will get another life later this season.
What the hec…….this was one of the best story lines in a long time. It always made want more and couldn’t wait till the next episode. I hope that another network will pick up this show.
My daughter & I loved this show! I will definitely think twice about watching another series on NBC!

It is unfortunate that programming TV programs with in depth character building and real and good story lines never draw an audience. One short season and this program will be missed although here is hoping another network is willing to give the program a real opportunity to succeed rather making a hasty decision on 10 episodes.
Finally a show worth watching! Leave it to NBC to cancel it!

Absolutely loved the Village. The writing and casting were excellent. So disappointed if it really was canceled. Really looking forward to Season 2
This bull poop. This show is excellent and should remain on. I watch this on demand bc of my busy busy schedule. When i get a free moment without my little ones i enjoy sitting down with my 13 yr old daughter to watch this great show.. LEAVE THIS ON

I agree with the other comments. This emotionally intelligent show is one of my favorites and it’s very disappointing to lose one of the better ones. This show can go far so give it more time, please bring it back!
