TNT has had both great successes and big disappointments when it comes to their original scripted shows. Which of the current crop will be cancelled or renewed for another season? Stay tuned!
Scripted TNT shows listed: Agent X, The Alienist, Animal Kingdom, Claws, Dallas, Falling Skies, Franklin & Bash, Good Behavior, I Am the Night, The Last Ship, The Lazarus Project, Legends, The Librarians, Major Crimes, Murder in the First, Perception, Proof, Public Morals, Rizzoli & Isles, Snowpiercer, Transporter: The Series, and Will.
Last updated: Most recent ratings added for The Lazarus Project.
There’s lots of data that TNT execs look at when deciding whether to renew or cancel a TV series but ratings are the major ingredient. Here’s an updated listing of all of their recent/current primetime scripted shows.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also view them here and here.
A couple of notes about these charts:
These figures are updated automatically as new ratings are released (usually a day or so after the broadcasts). The averages are based on the final national numbers (live plus same day viewing). For technical reasons, I have to resort them manually so feel free to let me know if I missed something.
The demo numbers, which are typically most important to the broadcast networks, aren’t quite as vital to cable channels because their audiences are usually much smaller. Demo numbers are typically reported using the 10ths decimal place (2.4, for example). In the averages, I’m using an extra decimal for easier ranking.
What do you think? Are you surprised by any of the ratings? Which shows should be doing better? Which one do you think will be cancelled next?
Hope some other network picks up Proof. It is a show with great potential. If the first season had low rating, that does not mean that it would be the same next season. This was a show that would have picked up in season 2 and likely become a huge hit in season 3…but I guess the expectations from the network for the shows are different…wish there was more strategic thought that went into deciding which shows have potential. Oh well! Not much one can say or do!
I’m with you. “Proof” had great potential and moved the question of life after death from fantasy to “closer to probability”, without a huge leap of faith. It’s a true disappointment.
Hi,
This is for Ted Turner,
Maybe some of your TNT execs aught to be cancelled, Wake-up Execs – the public is always right…….RENEW THE SHOW FOR THE THIRD SEASON….
Thanks

Its a shame proof was cancelled. It is a great show. Hope amother network picks it up. We baby boomers are old enough to know a good show!
What else does TNT want us to say? I mean, they can clearly tell from people’s comments that cancelling proof was a d**k move on their part. Nothing personal TNT but c’mon!!!!
ABC did the same thing with “FOREVER” and now you guys with “proof.” Are you two in some competition to see who can be biggest jerk?!? Well guess what, you both scored 10 billion on a jerk’s scale of 1-10. Anyway, don’t mind the language (foul mouth). What i’m trying to say is, get the show renewed.
I’m so disappointed that PROOF is cancelled. It is a stand-out quality show among the over-the-top sci-fi, reality, or dark fantasy type programming. It’s well-written with a wonderful strong, but vulnerable character in Jennifer Beals. I love how the family handles real-life conflict and real-life issues. All in the backdrop of real-life questions we all have about what’s out there in an afterlife. Please reconsider!
Well, it’s official. Proof is cancelled. TNT stated that too many older people were watching it, and they want to reach a younger demographic. How insulting to our older citizens. This station is going after an “edgier” crowd. Their words, not mine. Get ready for more “reality” shows featuring the “undead”. How pathetic. The zombie crowd has no “brains”. HA!
TNT ARE ********
Lmao…cute. Ok, I’m not exactly “young & edgy” but I’m not old either. I’m n my 30’s. I absolutely LOVE proof & so does my daughter who would definitely b considered “young & edgy.” Maybe she is more mature than most teenagers.
Hope to see the The Last Ship Season 3.
Please renew PROOF! Love it! Excellent program and cast! Jennifer Beal is awesome as well as others on the show!
I don’t know what you are waiting for.lets get with the program and renew. Thank you
Enough with the waiting, TNT either renew the show or let it go to a competing Network, people are getting tired of indecisiveness, we don’t care which Network we just want to see the show.
Please RENEW Proof! Great show and should not be cancelled. Excellent casting and though provoking storyline.
Please renew Proof! Jennifer Beals is superb in this series.
RENEW PROOF!!!! Please !!!
Cancel Murder in the First

IT IS INEVITABLE THAT WE ALL HAVE TO LEAVE THIS GLORIOUS EARTH, UNLIKE SOME SHOWS, AND STORIES, FOR ME AND I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE PROOF IS THE REAL DEAL. Let me get this right. A young person expressing an idea is a moron? Obviously age hasn’t taught You how to be respectful of others, and how to be tolerant in your language. How sad….
please tell me the reason you had said they cancelled this show. also, you were happy they cancelled it, well if you were, you seem young, and maybe some of us older people who are i think closer to leaving this earth, find this show rewarding, and to the people, we lost way before we thought we would, it is nice to think, they may be in a better place. what do you think? I HOPE THEY DECIDE TO GIVE ANOTHER CHANCE NO ONE TWISTS ANYONE’S ARM TO WATCH A SHOW.
