A dramatic series, the Tommy TV show stars Edie Falco, Michael Chernus, Adelaide Clemens, Thomas Sadoski, Russell G. Jones, Olivia Lucy Phillip, Joseph Lyle Taylor, and Vladimir Caamaño. The series revolves around a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female chief of police for Los Angeles. Abigail “Tommy” Thomas (Falco) uses unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political, and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland.

Wouldn’t it be better to see Edie, who is an amazing actress, on a better written show? She was so good on nurse Jackie and the sopranos because she and the writing were on the same page. It feels like Edie is taking a paycheck over making quality. Shame.
Watching this show hurts my head. The stories are so bland and predictable. Edie Faldo is the only reason this show is remotely tolerable. The daughter character makes me wish TV shows did a better process in finding suitable actresses to work on their shows, how is she on a TV show? Please cancel this dumpster fire so y’all can get a better show in your rotation. Or better yet everyone just get Netflix. Network TV or CBS is where respect and creativity go to die.
Agree, Edie is the reason I started watching in the first place…she’s great in any role. This show won’t last with that writing and blah characters that are beneath her caliber of acting. I’ll wait for Ms. Falco’s next role…

Excellent series. More please. Back off on the lesbian kissing. Stick to relevant timely plots, social + environmental justice, realistic crimes. Edie Falco’s Tommy is brilliant. Don’t dumb it down.

Give it another season, most shows don’t start getting good until the second season and I’m finding that I am looking forward to this show to air the next episode. Really like that the Chief is a woman.
Give it another season, and/or put it on CBS access and turn it into the adult audience show that it should be.

A great show that needs to have many more seasons. The whole cast is outstanding and Edie Falco is over the top wonderful.

Please renew. I love Edie Falco and everything she’s in. The rest of the cast is pretty good too. It’s well written with multi-dimensional and diverse characters.
