Low Winter Sun was cancelled after one low-rated season, despite having the final episodes of Breaking Bad as a lead-in. How will Turn do as a lead-in to the finale season of Mad Men? Will it be a ratings success for AMC and be renewed for a second season — or will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Taking place during the American Revolutionary War, Turn follows a group of friends who become spies and help turn the tide of the war. The cast includes Amy Gumenick, Angus Macfadyen, Burn Gorman, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, JJ Feild, Jamie Bell, Kevin McNally, Meegan Warner, and Seth Numrich.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
6/23 update: AMC has renewed Turn for a second season.
Final season averages: 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.43 million total viewers.

What do you think? Do you like the Turn TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
it really would be a shame if this show was cancelled. It gives a good idea of what was done for our country independence. If younger viewers spent some more time watching shows like turn instead of worthless talent competition this country would have a much brighter outlook for the future.
My wife and I have come just lately to pick up Turn on iTunes. It’s great. It would be a shame if it weren’t renewed. It’s a very good show and word of mouth is just getting around about it.
How in the world could the writer of this article leave out Samuel Roukin (Simcoe) in listing the cast members??? This show is a gem! Please renew AMC!!!
Pleaseee don’t cancellll!!! I love this show! It is so intersting about the first American spy’s ring! Keep going on this way
Yes please I love this show. Please don’t cancel it.
I am enjoying the show and I know it s not great history, but itdoes respect the risks that the spys took. I m telling everyonei know about it.
Great show, history of LI.Story Sync adds to
the value of the events.2 nd season keep it coming.
Renew!!! It’s just getting it’s legs and is improving rapidly with each episode. The last few eps have been hard core. Keep it!!!!
Switch it to another time slot and it will take off well.
We need a smart show like this on the air. There are a ton of fans out here who apparently are not being counted in the ratings.
I wish the show to stay on the air. It’s fascinating history and well produced and acted. There’s nothing like it on commercial tv.
A difficult topic to set up in one season, but believe TURN is doing a good job. Good period piece for U.S. History students (which I happen to have one).
Upstarts and rogues.
Only a turncoat would cancel this show. It is well acted. No cheap sexual storylines or mindless pseudointellectual banter as in most American series. Stay thy hand network naysayers!!!
Great show. If AMC cancels it they’re losing something valuable. Please don’t cancel!
Please keep the show going!!! Spread the word people! Excellant Show!
Very simple, the show lost it’s audience because those who mainly tuned in were history nerds like myself who saw how terribly inaccurate the history aspects of the show are and bailed. It may be a good drama for some people and I can swallow a little “artistic license” but this show is so far off the mark that it is insulting to a history buff. I assume I am not te only one that feels this way.
I agree with Sean. I was so excited to see this show about the Setauket – Culper Spy Ring. But it is so convoluted and deviates so far from the truth, that it really does disappoint the history buffs. The story is intriguing and exciting enough if they stuck with the true and historical facts. The writers use so much artistic license that it makes it very hard to follow and understand where the story is going. Aside from being very well produced and acted, I find the muddling of the storyline & plots very disturbing. You can tell that… Read more »
You people must be joking. I’m from the Setauket area and know the history well. Most people are not familiar at all with it, however. Thus, there is little chance most people would know whether it is historically accurate or not and use that as a basis for watching the show. Sure the writers are taking artistic license and maybe a different version of the story could be written that is more exciting and more historically accurate. However, most people are are intelligent enough to know that a TV show like this would not be completely accurate. Though at the… Read more »
For the most part, I agree with Sean, too, but I have to confess that I’m so hungry for historical drama (esp. about the American Revolution) that I look forward to every episode anyway. I wish there were more focus on Ben Tallmadge – I’d like to know a lot more about him – and did you notice how much more exciting the whole thing felt when Washington finally showed up? It seems that the story is replete with exciting possibilities, and yet somehow that potential is not quite making it onto the screen. It’s certainly not the acting, which… Read more »
