Today brought good news for Switched at Birth fans as the series was renewed for a fourth season. Unfortunately, the news wasn’t good for fans of the Twisted TV show. It’s been cancelled and won’t be back for a second season.
A mystery/thriller series, Twisted revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode of Twisted aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly started falling again.
The cable channel split the season into two parts and, starting in February of this year, gave it the advantage of airing after Pretty Little Liars, their most popular show. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to help and the ratings got worse and worse. The final two episodes of the season drew just 726,000 and 773,000 viewers.
TVLine now reports that ABC Family has pulled the plug on the Twisted series, leaving viewers with a lot of unanswered questions.

WTF?!?!? Why would you cancel a show that is just starting to get good? I was looking forward to the second season….. What a disappointment!
I am happpy that abc family renewed SAB For a second season I am so happy that abc family brought in Chasing life and the fosters they’re good shows and want see them renew for more seasons

Can’t believe Twisted was cancelled. My grandson & I watched this together and have been waiting for the next season. We are both Very disappointed about this!
I cannot believe this is cancelled! I just got into the show a couple weeks ago and finished the season last night!! WHAT A CLIFFHANGER! There’s no way we can be left with so many unanswered questions!?! Please please please bring Twisted back for at least another season! We need these loose ends tied up. I feel like it was really getting good. Give Twisted another chance!
Can’t believe it has been canceled..I am NOT happy about this I LOVED this show and I know other people who also watched it and are upset about it being canceled. ..you guys should bring it back and give it another chance plus it was getting better and better and then poof we all get left hanging in the dust wondering what would have happened. ..I really don’t like when shows do this at all PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! ..I been looking forward to it since the last episode..
WHAT? Just like that? No wayy! Don’t cancel Twisted. There has to be a second season for the show. There are still so much questions left unasnwered.
What a bummer! I’ve been looking forward to season 2 all summer. It was the only show I watched on your network. I guess I don’t have to worry about setting my dvr to your channel anymore.

I’m so tired of getting into a show and then it being cancelled after the first or second season. Maybe you guys could get more ratings if people didn’t have to fear the show getting cancelled with lose ends! This can make a person so insane!!! I loved twisted, ravenswood and the lying game and I feel like none were given a chance.. i don’t think they should cancel twisted!!! there are too many loose ends. at least bring it back and tie everything together. this sucks…..i really like twisted.
Yes it should be renewed.i would change any other show for the chance to see twisted. That was the only abc family show i watched and my whole family abc family will not get any ratings for me nor my family
If people were watching the fosters Chasing Life SAB thous shows should have got Higher raitings and people watching theses shows that means abc family could have renewed them for more seasons and only then twisted could have got a second season abc family is concern that if they brought twisted back for a second season and nobody watching on live then they would have to cancel that show Casing Life THE FOSTERS SAB are getting no so good raitings and its only getting 0.9 in the demos and 1million and that is not good for the the the abc… Read more »

NOOO!!! My daughter and I loved this show!!!! We both watch it together as well as The Fosters.. It’s a shame you leave your viewers who love the show hanging.. now we’ll never know what happens… Thanks for taking off one of the best shows out there besides The Fosters of course… BRING BACK TWISTED!!!!!!!!!

I really wish the network would really give the viewers who enjoyed the show closure before they cancelled the show… I am getting so aggregated with all these channels.. It’s becoming reality tv instead of all these shows I enjoy,.. I HATE reality tv shows and never watch them.. I DVR everything because I am usually doing checking homework with the kids and getting them ready for bed, so by the time I get yo watch tv, I am watching the previous few nights ago..
