Do you watch Underground? The WGN America TV show only has a couple weeks left before the end of its second season, but should there be a third? What do you think? Should the series be cancelled or renewed?
The historical drama follows the heroes of the Underground Railroad who harnessed every bit of their wits, strength, and grit in order to escape slavery and live as free men and women. The cast includes Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, Jessica De Gouw, Alano Miller, Christopher Meloni, Marc Blucas, and Reed Diamond.
The chances of a third season for Underground are unclear. So far, season two has struggled in the ratings. Currently, it holds an average of 0.20 in the 18-49 demo and 594,000 viewers. For comparison, season one averaged a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demo and 993,000 viewers. That’s a nearly 40% decrease in viewership from season one to two—not good news.
Additionally, Underground is WGN America’s only remaining scripted series. Recently, the network cancelled their other scripted drama, Outsiders, even though the show had higher ratings than Underground. This could mean WGN America is getting out of the scripted series business altogether.

Cable is too expensive, i only pay for the internet. that is how is can watch the show. please don’t cancel the show, or maybe allow them to take the show to another station.

I have been watching Underground here in Norway. Absolutley loved it! This show should be renewed!
Please renew Underground it is an amazing show that i really like watching. It’s bad enough Outsiders has already been canceled with no ending. If WGN cancels Underground i’ll have no reason to keep paying for that channel and i will get rid of it. Outsiders and Underground were the only two reasons i’m paying for the channel package i have now through Dish.
Underground is an excellent show and WGN America should definitely renew it for Season 3. I had never even heard of WGN America before I started watching Underground and if they cancel the show I will have absolutely no reason to continue tuning into a network that only airs reruns of shows that are available on competing networks.
Please renew the show. It’s taught me a lot about history, slavery, etc. although season 2 wasn’t as good as season 1. I learned a lot! And yes don’t leave us left hanging! I want to know what happens next, please!!!

I do not find many shows that actually have substance anymore. Many shows are scripted reality (I have a few I love) but there has to be a balance. I live in Canada and I still watch this show with so many others. Bring it to a better network it doesn’t matter I will still find this show… lol… This has taught me so many lessons a long with being entertaining and to let this show go it will be a shame.

I love the show Underground and it would be a shame to cancel it but if they should can they at least give it a decent ending. I hope they don’t cancel it though.
When there should be season three of underground. Underground is the main reason why I tune to when.

WGN America is making a HUGE mistake here. There clearly is an audience for this show, for these kinds of stories to be told. That is what drew many of us to WGN America in the first place. To cancel it now would be to discount the loyal viewers who made WGN what it is now. Alas, no “Underground”, no WGN for me.

I forgot yo say i had to upgrade my tv package with dish to get wgn and if the show i canceled i will go bact to the cheaper pack. So keep the show and add more than 8 shows per season. Thanks
