What’s This TV Show About?
A History channel action-adventure series, the sixth season of Vikings stars Alexander Ludwig, Alex Høgh Andersen, Peter Franzén, Katheryn Winnick, Jordan Patrick Smith, and Marco Ilsø. Danila Kozlovsky, Georgia Hirst, Adam Copeland, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Ragga Ragnars, Steven Berkoff, and Eric Johnson have recurring roles. The period drama delves into the Viking warriors and their strange, ruthless world. Season six picks up after the battle which has left Bjorn (Ludwig) victorious and a hero to the people who have been under the tyrannical rule of Ivar (Høgh) for so long. As the new leader of Kattegat, Bjorn struggles to fill his late father’s shoes as king, while facing several dilemmas and wrestling with the idea that power overshadows morals. Meanwhile, Ivar, searching for a new path to separate him from his past, is seen traveling along The Silk Road eventually leading him to Russia.
Season Six Ratings
The sixth season of Vikings is averaging a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 804,000 viewers. Compared to season five, that’s down by 72% in the demo and down by 58% in viewership. It’s worth noting that the second half of the season was released via streaming services months before History decided to burn them off on Saturday nights.
Vikings is ending so there won’t be a seventh season. The final 10 episodes were released on Amazon Prime Video on December 30, 2020. History airings began June 5, 2021. Stay tuned for further updates.

There’s no need to worry about Vikings being cancelled this time around. History has already announced that this is the final season so, there won’t be a seventh year. On the positive side, the writers have had enough notice to wrap up the show and there’s also a sequel series in the works at Netflix. WHERE IS FLOKE? Ratings went down because it wasnt on Hulu season 6, many people didnt even know it was on. Love the show!
Vikings is over when Ragnar died and Rollo gone. Vikings is Ragnar. And now Lagertha died as well.
It was an awful ending. There is no closure for the surviving main characters. At the least there could and should have been 2-3 more episodes regarding Ivar Hvitserk and Ubbe and what their final destiny’s were. The 10 episodes were good but not enough! I am looking forward to the sequel and hopefully that will continue the final Character’s Outcomes. But thanks for the 6 season.
Season six ending disappointing and some issues unresolved such as Uber and Hopefully a season 7.
I have been totally immersed in the entire series of Vikings. It has contained an addictive storyline, with some of the best acting of recent times. The writing and directing is superb and by far one of the most pleasurable series I’ve followed.
So whilst being sad to see it finish, i think its always better to end on a high, its an epic series and i thoroughly recommend it to all those that haven’t seen it yet….and i will definitely be tuning in to the sequel series.
This is false information there is a Season 7 starting in November but will be only on Netflix!!
Vikings: Valhalla, which will air on Netflix, is a sequel series and takes place 100 years later. Vikings ends with season six.
I have been seeing so many of the BEST shows transfer series’ to Netflix a a couple other online programming companies.
I wonder… Would it be LESS COSTLY to cancel my satellite programing and just get internet in my home to CONTINUE watching all the VERY BEST SHOWS?
I’d also have internet in my laptop too and not just on my phone. Hmmmmm
Get an Amazon Firestick and subscribe to Netflix along with a choice of many other good Apps for Series and Movies. I have been without cable now for years nand do not miss it.
Honestly, I have watched the show from the beginning and yes the show has had ups and downs, but how can you end the show with should a build-up!! Please do 1 or 2 more seasons. **Also it is sad how Lagertha dies, since she was the most powerful shield maden in the world!!

There is so much more story in the Vikings series. I hope it is brought back for at least 2 more seasons.

Like myself, I guess you’ll have to get internet in your home and cancel satellite. All the BEST shows are transferring to Netflix as well as a few more online movie/film/series’s companies. I may Luke it more, also having internet in my home and not only on my phone would be cool.
