Get ready to return to Hope Valley. Hallmark Channel has announced that season six of their When Calls the Heart TV show will return on Sunday, May 5th at 8 p.m. and a second episode will air the following evening, on Monday, May 6th.
Season six of the series was pulled from the schedule following co-star Lori Loughlin’s arrest so that the remaining new episodes could be “retooled” (to edit Loughlin out).
Here’s the press release and a preview of the return:

What do you think? Will you be watching the return of When Calls the Heart on Hallmark? Do you think that Loughlin should have been edited out of these episodes?
What Lori did had nothing to do with her career and Hallmark seems to have jumped the gun in firing her. Are we not innocent until proved guilty?
I will continue to watch the show since the remaining cast are excellent.
I agree with Clarence.
No…I don’t think Lori should have been taken out. It should have been left alone. What she did in her private life has nothing to do with her character on the show. I wouldn’t have looked at her any different than I did before. She was one of the main actors in this show!
I agree.
Looking forward to thee show returning but I would have limed it to stay the same for the rest of the season 6 and then you could have written Lori out. I will miss her, she was good!
I LOVE the series. And Lori will not be missed.
Lori Loughlin’s character was my least favorite from the beginning. The show will be great without her!
I do not see why we could not watch the show as scheduled and then changed next season if needed. Who among us is perfect and walks on water. We have all made mistakes in life. We have a president that has made several mistakes and yet continues to hold the highest job in the country.
I agree, Hallmark you were wrong to do what you did.
Yes I have been anxiously waiting for its return. Thank you
The show is great and one person will not change that moving forward without them. This show is all about trust, honesty an love. If she remained it would change that entirely!
I am very disappointed for NBC not showing the original series and then writing Lori out of the next series. They left us hanging & will the new shows on May 5th & 6th (which I am looking forward too ), have a correct transition without her? I hope so.
I look forward to the return of when calls the heart. As for Lori we should be kind and forgiving, but the courts will decide. I wouldn’t of been against finising the season as is and starting new year with change, but it’s important the cast is happy.
I was just sad that we had to wait so long for the return.
I have been”binge” watching since signing up with Netflix. Really enjoy the show. Almost thru the 5th year… sad to hear that Jack left. Hallmark wants to be known as a squeaky clean network, and no longer wanted to be associated with Lori Laughlin. She seems to have a holier than thou attitude so I’m glad she’s being eliminated. Looking forward to the new shows.
I dont think it was necesary to stop the show and cut her out, you could have waited until end of season. Everyone makes mistakes. She could have chose to move out of the town and had her leave that way! Now you are going to have to pay the people twice to redo the episodes! She made a mistake and she will have to pay for her mistake! Going to miss her on the show.
Moving forward for all involved….can’t go wrong with that.
My whole family is beyond exciteded that the show will be back. I’m sorry that they had to retool the show but I’m in full support for whatever Hallmart decided to do.
I’m happy WCTH is coming back on – I don’t feel Ms. Loughlin should have been edited out of the shows she had already taped – yes what she did was wrong AND she will be prosecuted by the law, which is as it should be – but saying that, it doesn’t mean everyone else who was ever involved with her should prosecute her too…..that’s for the law to do, not us or Hallmark – we all make mistakes, some are worse than others, but again – doesn’t mean she should lose her entire career because everyone else wants to… Read more »
I so agree with you. Hallmark’s judge and jury decision in the splint of an instant flies in the face of their “family” mutterings. Nor does Crown’s tacking charges onto every version of Hallmark channels help out “families” who try to watch it for decent entertainment. Nothing about their actions of late speak family, including the ages old, probably cost a penny for an entire series, of the horrible nighttime shows they air on all channels. The last straw was their incredibly insensitive and judge and jury treatment of Lori Loughlin. Not Hallmark’s place to try her before charges were… Read more »
I agree. Everyone isn’t perfect. If you look into all the actors on the set they all probably done something. I don’t feel that Hollywood should punish her. She’s been shamed enough.
I agree
