It’s official. Deadline reports the ABC TV show Whiskey Cavalier will not be returning for a second season after all.
The drama series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Scott Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Lauren Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world. The cast also includes Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins.
Last week, we reported that ABC was considering bringing Whiskey Cavalier back for a second season after cancelling it earlier this month. Now, it series creator David Hemingson has confirmed this will not be the case. Whiskey Cavalier will remain cancelled:

What do you think? Are you a fan of Whiskey Cavalier? Would you have watched a second season?
I love this show! It is so well done and the characters are so well developed. One of the best shows on TV. Please do not cancel!
It’s really too bad. It was an enjoyable, fun show. Excellent characters with background and personality; good plot lines; amazing locales. Fast paced. As one fan below said – no sex or drugs – just good clean good guys vs bad guys – of course it was cancelled. The networks think they have to compete with Cable and streaming – but they don’t. I watched or recorded it every week. TOO BAD. You get us vested in a show and it’s characters and then pull it. I hate that! Why should I watch any of your new shows? You never… Read more »
We love Wiskey Cavalier, so sad that they are not renewing it. Sure wished ABC would change their mind and keep it on…..
As usual you made a mistake cancelling this show but I can always change the channel on my TV and tune your network out
I am truly disappointed. If they knew they were cancelling – WHY NOT A PROPER ENDING TO THE FINALE???????????????????
I would definitely watch a second season. It’s a great show!
They just keep pushing more and more people away from network TV by canceling the good shows. Going to be their demise.
Really liked the show. It was very entertaining. Most definitely would have watched a second season. What are you thinking?
Fun, clean, entertaining show without spotlighting drugs, race, sex etc every week. Of course it was cancelled. Does not fit the media indoctrination program going on. Sad. It’s a good show.
Such a fun show. Great humor and action. A good change from all the Chicago shows I normally watch on nbc. The best. Mistake to cancel.
My family is terribly disappointed. Have enjoyed the show very much. I have shared the information with several friends, they were equally unhappy. I am beginning to wonder if there is a subtle push in the air, sending us to Netflix and other options.
So sad! The show was hilarious and fun to watch. Great actors. please reconsider.
I thought it was one of the best shows of the season. It was exciting, yet funny and light. The ensemble cast was superb. I loved how the characters played off each other. So sad to see it go, but i knew it wouldn’t last because it was too good. Seems people would rather watch darkness these day.
If ABC did not appreciate Whiskey Cavalier I feel that Whiskey Cavalier was not given a Second Season and a a Second Chance on Thursday night instead of How to get away with Murder.I feel that Whiskey Cavalier should be picked up on CBS for a Second Season on Sunday night at 10:00 replacing Madame Secretary.I think Whiskey Cavalier has a better chance on CBS with ratings if CBS picks up Whiskey Cavalier.
I absolutely would have watched a second season!! I like the corniness of the cast and the calling out of corny action scenes other shows and even movies deemed “dramatic.”
