It looks like the reign is over for The White Princess. Recently, star Jodie Comer revealed there will be no season two for the Starz TV show.
A sequel to The White Queen, the historical drama follows the stormy marriage of Elizabeth of York (Comer) to Henry Tudor (Jacob Collins-Levy) during the end of England’s War of the Roses. The cast also includes Essie Davis, Joanne Whalley, Michelle Fairley, Suki Waterhouse, Rebecca Benson, Rhys Connah, Caroline Goodall, Kenneth Cranham, and Vincent Regan.
It’s not a huge surprise that The White Princess is ending with only one season. Its predecessor, The White Queen, was limited to one season as well. However, it remains unclear if there will be a third installment in the Starz historical saga. The series are based on the historical novels of Philippa Gregory and there are several more that detail what happens after the events of The White Princess.

Every time I find a fantastic show, it gets cancelled! White Princess was one that kept you so interested and intrigued. I never saw it advertised, I stumbled upon it and watched the 8 episodes in 3 days. How sad to lose such a fantastic show and wonderful, talented cast. Cancelling this series was so very wrong!!!

Oh No!! How can you do that to us? Loved this series! You make us wait over a year for Outlander and now no season 2 of “The White Princess”.

I am very disappointed to hear there isn’t going to be a season 2.. I enjoyed this series and all its actors.. I looked forward to a new episode every week.. what a shame.. finally, something worth my time to watch and they take it away!! Please bring “The White Princess” back!!

watch very little television because many of the shows are trashy and just plain stupid; The White Princess was neither. I actually looked forward to this show every Sunday night. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves for canceling such a great show– . Please reconsider and bring The White Princess back. I pay to be able to watch Starz. Now there’s nothing to watch at all. To the executives at Starz, y’all have lost a customer.
Once again we have been dupped…They never said anything about episode 8 being the last. And as far as another series what would come next would be the Tudors, and that could have gone on for years for it was well done. Same things was done with the Borgias cut short before we found out what happened.Please if you plan to do a series about an important time make sure they plan to see it through. Just think if they did a series about the Civil War and ended it just as the south was marching into Gettysburg!!!!!!!!!!!

The only show a really enjoyed for such a long time of the same tv series. It had me reading about the history of the war of the roses. What a shame!

I think they should have another season for historical purposes & not for merely ratings….there lots of shows the feature Henry the 8th & his daughter Elizabeth but nothing really of before that. This show not only tells the story of who Henry really was but also who is Lizzie of York together as a couple blooming with the life of their own children. Shares a little of who Prince Arthur was & perhaps why King Henry wanted so many wives to behead. I think the story should continue to bridge this show to possibly the Tudor show.
