What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the Freeform cable channel, Young & Hungry stars Emily Osment, Jonathan Sadowski, Aimee Carrero, Kym Whitley, and Rex Lee, with Bryan Safi recurring. The Freeform TV series features food blogger, Gabi Diamond (Osment), who becomes the personal chef of wealthy tech entrepreneur Josh Xander Kaminski (Sadowski). After they develop feelings for one another, the plot thickens. The fifth season kicks off with Gabi and Josh try to prove to everyone that they won’t let feelings get in the way of their new arrangement as “friends with benefits.”
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of Young & Hungry averaged a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 352,000 viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 36% and down by 35%, respectively. Learn how Young & Hungry stacks up against the other Freeform TV shows.
As of February 6, 2018, Young & Hungry was cancelled and the finale aired July 25, 2018. A movie was supposedly in development but those plans were cancelled too. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
While Young & Hungry was originally given a season orders of 10 episodes, eventually, Freeform doubled the total order to 20. A couple of weeks before that, the cable channel decided not to move forward with the proposed spin-off. Were the two decisions related? Although the fourth season ratings saw a small increase over the previous year, will the sitcom continue to build its audience? The ratings are way down but Freeform has cancelled Baby Daddy so, that may mean the network will want to keep this show around for a sixth season. We’ll see. I love the show its time to show how opposites attract to each other and fall harder in love than ever imagined when a new little person joins them on the show ( dog, baby, family) the sky is the limit on goes the show you guy’s ROCK love it.

I LOVE THIS SHOW. It was the only tv show I could get into. I just finished watching the last episode and was almost in tears the way Josh ran to the train and remembered Gabi. Freeform please renew Young & Hungry.

If u was to cancel young an hungry I think I would die I love this show its my favorite show after pll and vampire diaries an they cancel both of those so please don’t cancel this one please!!
I really LOVE Young & Hungry, it’s a really great show, but I feel like you guys should bring back Baby Daddy also. I literally sat home and watched each show in 2-3 days no later then that. Isn’t that crazy, yeah I know. I just love freeform shows they come up with great idea. Especially The Fosters, I’m just waiting on the new season for all those tv shows. I’m just going to go look for their freeform shows. Keep up with the good work guys you all are soing GREAT. Hope you guys get this message.

I think on youtube somewhere somebody said that season 6 is coming and that a few episodes are already filmed .
