What’s This TV Show About?
A horror dramedy on the Syfy cable channel, Z Nation stars Kellita Smith, DJ Qualls, Keith Allan, Anastasia Baranova, Russell Hodgkinson, Nat Zang, Joseph Gatt, Emilio Rivera, and Matt Cedeño. After a zombie virus infects the United States, a ragtag gang of everyday people bands together to end it. In the fourth season, they find themselves in the midst of an even worse “Zompocalypse.” Among the foes they must face are Jugalo Zombies. They also need to locate the Zombified President of the United States – or at least his thumb.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of Z Nation averaged a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 589,000 viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 32% and down by 32%, respectively. Find out how Z Nation stacks up against the other Syfy TV shows.

Telly’s Take
The fourth installment premiered with much weaker numbers than last year and the ratings are way down. Still, Z Nation continues to be one of Syfy’s highest-rated shows. I suspect that they’ll renew it but the cable channel execs could easily cancel it too. I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page with breaking developments. I like the show! I think now that Lucy isn’t there, and the team is tight-nit, it’s more focused, and gives the chance to add new people who could add a whole new element to the group. I hope it goes 2 more seasons at least!
I love Z Nation! I have been a fan since Season 1. It would suck if it was cancelled when it’s just getting started with Season 4. Please give us more seasons and enjoyment. I rather watch Z Nation over The Walking Dead. Its got better zombies and plots then The Walking Dead! The actors are amazing and great! The writers and creators are amazing too!!

I’m sorry to say that i think the show has seen its best. Season 4 was the worst, and i don’t know who the heck they hired for script writing. There’s no story, no answers, more stand-alone episodes then episodes to build toward something. It all started well with people vanishing, then the plot went to hell.
I won’t be watching a season 5. I want to remember it as the funny and well thought out show that season 1-3 was.
I enjoy the show. It’s a great alternative to that other Z show on that other cable channel. It often has humor, random moments, campiness and yet, it can be endearing and heartfelt. I’d be fine if it’s renewed for a final season to wrap the story. Don’t let Syfy leave the fans hanging. And keep in mind, the numbers are deceptive seeing how there’s fan bases outside the US and a lot of people have to record it.

I love Z Nation. It’s the best zombie TV Show ever. I will be so gutted for it to get cancelled. This show is everything. Please please please make a season 5. 10K is badass. Nat Zang is such a good actor. I hope he becomes an A list actor. He is pure gold.
Please don’t cancel z nation I was a walking dead fan until I started watching z nation it’s the best more realistic and more plausible than walking dead the characters are fantastic and the actors who portray them are an excellent group of people so please don’t cancel the show there are alot of us out there worldwide who want to see more of this and alot less of the now boring uneventful TWD SO YEAH MORE Z NATION MORE ZNATION.
Just give us one more season to wrap things up. Absolutely hated how they left Dominion with this awful, unresolved cliff-hanger.
I would be really sad to lose Z nation. Sure it didn’t have as strong a start as other seasons, but it did have some great elements. First of all it had freaking Henry Rollins. Who was awesome. Then he was one of the mad z’s, and his death scene was fitting him. It was masterful. And come on zombie fingers was funny as hell. That is one of the things I love about this show. I have been a Z nation fan since day 1, I love the group and all the whacky escapades. I would be SO PISSED BUMMED if they cancel. I use to also watch The walking Dead and now it’s Z Nation or nothing!!! PLEASE DON’T CANCEL ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS!!
I hope Z Nation returns for season 5, but I’d also like to continue the story arcs from the first three seasons. Season 4 seems to lack focus, and while little hints appear throughout the silliness, there’s not enough meat. The last two episodes (8 & 9) have been a huge improvement over those preceding them. The show has been brilliant, funny, and full of action. What happened this season is anyone’s guess, but it has improved wonderfully with these latest episodes. Please renew for season five. I binged watched seasons 1-3 purchased season 4 which I did feel that the episodes in season 4 were too short and the content was lacking, kind of like the writes didn’t put much thought into carrying over clues of what happen to the missing characters like Addy! Lucy’s death was uncalled for. Yet writers can make a comeback, if you give us more excitement like season 1 -3. We need leading roles of African American women to survive with an awesome support case like this one. Although Doc is my favorite character on Z-Nation.
Please don’t cancel Z Nation. It’s my favorite show on SYFY. I LOVE all the cast and the Zombie adventures and everything about the show. I never used to watch zombie shows until Z Nation was created. Even my 11 year old granddaughter loves it and she’s a picky tv watcher.
