It looks like the Zoo has been closed. CBS has decided to cancel their low-rated Zoo TV show after three summer seasons.
A CBS drama thriller based on the James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge novel, Zoo, stars James Wolk as zoologist Jackson Oz. The cast also includes Kristen Connolly, Nonso Anozie, Billy Burke, Alyssa Diaz, Josh Salatin, and Gracie Dzienny. After noticing animals behaving strangely during the African safaris he conducts, Oz and his team work to figure out the reason behind it. Meanwhile, the animals assaults become more cunning, coordinated, and ferocious.
The series never drew a big audience for the network but it managed to hold on for three seasons. The first season averaged a 1.06 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.40 million viewers. The second season dropped by more than 30%, averaging a 0.74 in the demo with 4.45 million. This past summer, the third season saw even bigger declines and averaged a 0.51 in the demo and 2.65 million.
Zoo was produced in-house by CBS Television Studios. It was profitable thanks to a deal with Netflix to stream the show once its seasons finished airing. Because of the deal, the series was profitable before an episode had even aired. Salvation, which was recently renewed for a second season, is part of a similar deal with Amazon.

This was one of the best shows I’ve seen on Netflix! It’s such a disappointment that it was canceled, and with the worst ending ever!
This was the best action show so far, and the ending is messed up. We all want to know what happens next, this is suspenseful, and WE NEED A FOURTH SEASON
I can’t believe there is not going to be a season 4. That totally sucks. I loved this show and I can’t believe I will never get to find out what happens. This is the kind of crap that makes me want to stop watching television altogether. They come out with an exciting show to get you hooked and then it’s canceled.
I really need season 4. I just binged watched all seasons and I loved it. It left us hanging….wtf happened! This sucks!

Liked zoo needs to be back whether on Netflix ora tv channel they left it up on the air the baby is still with the evil sister the son/ banydaddy is still in a coma too many unanswered questions. About the hybrids.
This is not okay! I just got through binge watching this show, and i absolutely loved it!!! But not only did you guys end it on the worst possible note, but u canceled it????? I’ve had it with you people coming up with these awesome shows, getting us hooked, than canceling it!!!

I watched the first 2 seasons a few years ago. When I saw there was a third season during Covid quarantine, I re-watched the first 2 seasons, before watching the third. I was a bit underwhelmed during the first few episode or two, but I was quickly engrossed, especially once the team reassembled. I was totally hooked early in season 3, so much so, that I binge watched through the finale. The finale was amazing (actually the last several episodes were)! Please bring back Zoo. Hypocritical to say the good can win over and over again but bad can’t? Maybe some people are tired of the good winning all the time. At least this series keeps you on your toes. With the unexpected. Please bring this series back! I would really love to see one more season to at least close the series off! It’s so unfair to have it left hanging the way it ended. Bring Zoo Back! #BZB! Zoo Season 4 #ZS4!

Gave us an escape from Covid. It was the best series we have seen.
