As reported yesterday, CBS has announced that a new season of Big Brother will stream on the company’s CBS All Access. The press release indicates that the venerable program will continue to air during the summer months on the broadcast network so it’s safe to assume Big Brother will be back on CBS for the summer of 2017.
Here’s the release:
NEW DIGITAL EDITION OF “BIG BROTHER” COMING TO CBS ALL ACCESS THIS FALL
Big Brother Will Also Continue Its Successful Run as a Summer Series on the CBS Television Network
August 3, 2016 – CBS Interactive today announced a new digital edition of BIG BROTHER will be available this fall exclusively on CBS All Access, the CBS Television Network’s digital subscription video on demand and live streaming service. Developed expressly for digital audiences, the new edition of BIG BROTHER will mark CBS All Access’s third original content effort, in addition to the upcoming original series STAR TREK: DISCOVERY and spin-off of THE GOOD WIFE.
In addition to the CBS All Access edition this fall, BIG BROTHER will continue to be broadcast on the CBS Television Network during the summer.
“BIG BROTHER is an incredible success on the CBS Television Network and has always been ahead of its time when it comes to fan engagement,” said Marc DeBevoise, President and Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive. “Already, the BIG BROTHER Live Feeds are some of the most popular content on CBS All Access and with this new digital edition we will explore ways to reimagine this format for multiplatform audiences.”
The new digital edition for CBS All Access, and the CBS Television Network’s summer series, are produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol Shine North America. BIG BROTHER host Julie Chen will also be part of the digital edition.
Additional details for CBS All Access’s new digital edition of BIG BROTHER will be announced at a later date.

What do you think? Do you like the Big Brother TV show? Do you plan to keep watching?
I love watching big brother. I’m a number one fan. I can’t live without big brother.
My husband and I enjoy watching Big Brother. We make sure to catch every episode, but from the other comments I have read about CBS all access, I guess we will not catch BB 19. I hope you take into consideration your audience.
Thanks,
Karen
