The Eyewitness TV show on USA Network has been cancelled after just one season of 10 episodes. The drama begins with teen boys — Philip Shea (Tyler Young) and Lukas Waldenbeck (James Paxton). When they meet up in a forest cabin to share their first kiss, they witness a shooting and barely escape with their lives. The cast also includes Julianne Nicholson, Gil Bellows, Warren Christie, and Tattiawna Jones.
An adaptation of the Norwegian crime thriller called Øyevitne, Eyewitness explores a grisly crime from the point of view of the eyewitnesses. Amanda Brugel, Aidan Devine, Rainbow Sun Francks, Matt Murray, Katie Douglas, Mercedes Morris, Carlyn Burchell, Alex Karzis, and Adrian Fritsch recur. Deadline reports there will be no second season on USA.
Eyewitness Cancelled on USA Network: A Look at the Ratings
The first and only season of Eyewitness averaged a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and drew an average total audience of 639,000 viewers. Out of the nine new, scripted USA Network TV series we’re currently tracking, it ranked eighth in terms of its demo ratings and seventh in terms of audience size.
Falling Water is the only first run USA series performing worse in the demo, yet it has not been either cancelled or renewed. Eyewitness outperformed both it, and the second season of the Playing House TV show. USA renewed the latter for a third season, back in January 2016, which should premiere this spring.

I am really disappointed that there will be no season 2 of eyewitness! No network carry’s on with gay romance drama’s (tv series). I think the stigma is still there. Are they still embarrassed? I dunno but they need to get their act together. And if the cast don’t want to do it make a similar one
Very disappointing. The rating may have been low but because of the couple, for sure. USA Network don’t know **** about what they just lost. And this kind of couples, same sex relationships should be encouraged. I won’t give up. You, whoever is reading this, you shouldn’t give up either. I’ve seen the first 5 episodes of eyewitness and really like this series!!! It is definitely one of the best I’ve seen… really disappointed in seeing that it is cancelled.. they should rethink there decision and definitely think about renewing Eyewitness
I would love to see what happens next with the gang.love to see where the relationship between Phillipandd Lucus. And can’t wait to see what the next adventure would be.so please bring season 2 back.
Nooo! I’ve been binge watching it all night. I fell in love with Lukas and Phillip, please bring it back. With a second season we could find out more about the characters and see Philkas’ relationship blossom. Plea x
