What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Mick TV show revolves around Mackenzie “Mickey” Murphy (Kaitlin Olson). A brash, two-bit hustler from Rhode Island, she visits her estranged wealthy sister and brother-in-law, looking for a handout. But, when they leave the country suddenly to escape federal fraud charges, Mickey is left to take care of her spoiled niece and nephews (Sofia Black-D’Elia, Thomas Barbusca, and Jack Stanton). Can she have a positive impact on their lives? The FOX cast also includes Carla Jimenez and Susan Park.
Season One Ratings
The first season of The Mick is averaging a 1.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and drawing an average audience of 3.03 million viewers. Find out how The Mick stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.
FOX has given The Mick sitcom some extra exposure by airing some episodes after football games on Sunday nights. Those episodes have done well in the ratings (and helped the show’s ratings averages) but, in its regular Tuesday night timeslot, the numbers for The Mick have been weaker. FOX ordered four more episodes in January, bringing the first season’s order to 17 episodes. Although FOX announced it had renewed The Mick for season two, on February 21st, I will continue to keep an eye on this show. After all, renewals can be reversed.
