Sarah Gadon is headed back into history. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress has been cast as the lead in Netflix’s upcoming mini-series Alias Grace.
Gadon most recently starred opposite James Franco in the Hulu mini-series 11.22.63.
Based on the historical novel by Margaret Atwood, Alias Grace tells the story of Grace Marks (Gadon), a Canadian woman who was sentenced with life imprisonment for participating in the 1843 murders of Thomas Kinnear and his housekeeper Nancy Montgomery.
The six-part mini-series is being written and produced by Sarah Polley.
