With a joy and passion larger than life, Amanda Giese treats the seemingly hopeless animals in her Washington state home, primarily focusing on dogs that others have given up on. Alongside Amanda are her two kids, Jade and Beast, and her partner Gary. Together, the family cares for animals in need and helps them get the second chances and loving forever homes they deserve. Where others see animals with no hope, Amanda sees an animal full of love who needs her help. AMANDA TO THE RESCUE premieres Sunday, October 28 at 9PM ET/PT.
Throughout the season, Amanda will launch large scale rescue missions across the country to save dozens of animals with major medical or special needs, from being euthanized. She’ll journey to crowded California shelters that are overrun with displaced and injured animals from deadly wildfires. Amanda will also fly to Puerto Rico to help a dog rescue operation that needs assistance in their recovery efforts after hurricane Maria, and to Hawaii after the eruption of Kilauea to lend a helping hand by relieving the shelters of their overcrowdings and helps bring dogs in need to safety.
In every story in AMANDA TO THE RESCUE, Amanda provides a second chance to animals that she says are “differently abled,” getting them rehabilitated and ready for adoption. She strongly believes that just because an animal isn’t perfect doesn’t mean that they are not the perfect pet. Amanda’s goal and the mission of her foundation, Panda Paws Rescue, is to end the homelessness, abuse and neglect of all animals. She strives to focus on quality over quantity and taking in those that are major medical or special needs.
With her shaved head and raucous sense of humor, Amanda is out to prove that kindness is cool. And while there are ups, downs and unexpected turns on their journey, Amanda and her family remain advocates for all animals and a much-needed voice for animals in need.
AMANDA TO THE RESCUE is produced for Animal Planet by Indigo Films where David M. Frank and Christopher Voos serve as Executive Producers. For Animal Planet, Keith Hoffman is Executive Producer and Sarah Russell is Producer.”
What do you think? Do you watch a lot of Animal Planet? Will you watch Amanda to the Rescue?
Love what Amanda does for the ani
mals but find her constant laughing irritating. Is she on laughing gas?
My husband and I recently watched your show and we’re so touched by Splat the puppy! Cutest thing ever, it was wonderful to see you care for her, but we really wanted to know why she couldn’t be adopted? I know she would never improve, but we really wish we could of taken her in for as long as we could. My husband has PTSD from Afghanistan and has not been able to stop thinking about this puppy, if this happens again, is there any way you could wait awhile longer to see if anyone would want to care for… Read more »
I love the show and the family. If I !ike a show’s subject matter, I do not care about the commmercial. I am in a wheelchair and I could care less about the googly eyes.
I enjoy many Animal Planet shows-Pittbul!s and Parolees, My Cat from Hell and the show about the.Denver Colorado vetinarian(forgot the name). I also enjoy the shows about zoos.
I love Amanda To The Rescue. I try to catch every show. I missed the very end of the show that I think the little brown puppy Amanda was doing the water therapy died. Am I right? I thought you did an awesome job with it. LOVE THE SHOW ! Keep up the wonderful job, and GOD BLESS YOU!!!
Yes they had to put the little guy with those big loving eyes to sleep. He was in such pain…
I been watching Amanda to the rescue with my granddaughters we just love what her and her family does for these animals…She has a sense of humor in a otherwise bad situation , you have to seeing these poor fur babies holding on to life, which she the heart to give them the best life she knows how….she has a heart of gold and is a God send…love her show…Cindy , Dazie, Kyndra, and Kylie …California
That was the most beyond heart warming story about Splat. They had a Bucket List for him prior to his euthanasia….so much love in that one day. And Amanda’s search for any medical information to help this doll baby which unfortunately did not exist… pain would worsen.
So many tears, but what an inspiration to all!! She is one amazing angel!!
I am a animal planet show watcher but I have an issue about the commercial with Amanda and Buddy the blind boxer, I feel what she does about finding his eyes (Wiggly Eyes) and attached them to his face is mean spirited – almost cruel — its not funny how does she think a small child would feel if she did that to him or her? This commercial makes me not want to watch that show at all please remove that part about the googly eyes.
She saves animals that would otherwise be put down, and you’re worried about googly eyes. I love her sense if humor. Btw, my husband has a disability and he jokes about it. You need humor to deal with hardships.
“RIGHT ON” Liane, I love her sense of humor too!!! She does what ever it takes to save those animals, and she’s my new “HERO”. THANK YOU AMANDA
Her sense of humor is very irritating! Love what she does for the animals but she acts like she has a screw loose.
There is not 1 inch of cruel or mean intent in Amanda’s whole body!!! Watch the episode and you will see the humor behind her personality and the dogs…you might as well say, anybody who puts a costume on any dog is cruel, most dogs hate it!!
I’m an Animal Planet fan. Watch it all day. Am looking forward to this show, however, I wish you would delete the part showing the blind dog with Google eyes. To me, it’s making fun of the animal. NOT FUNNY!
Please stop running the same commercial over and over, or make a different one. The commercial has morphed from ‘Cool! I can’t wait to see the show!’ to ‘Oh no. It’s that same annoying commercial AGAIN.’ We mute the TV now. Please give us a break.
(I’ll check out the show, but the rest of the family is completely turned off by the constant repeat of the same commercial. Sorry.)
I completely agree with Katrina. I’m so sick of these commercials I hesitate to put Animal Planet on.
I cannot wait for Amanda’s show! Already have it taped!!!
I just discovered Amanda’s show and I love it and I LOVE YOU!!!! You have some of the best great energy in a person I have ever witnessed. I wish you were my BFF!! You are awesome! My new favorite show!!!
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU CARA……..LOVE HER AND THE SHOW!!!
Will be watching. Think could run a quick shout out to all the smaller rescues out there. Have one here in MN called Emotional Rescue. She has two wheelies amount the many saved. The two wheelies are from auto and gun shot. One left for dead, other to die. We’re all in this together. WAITT!
Normally I would. But there are so many blurbs being aired – way too many. I’m tired of them and tired of her. So I probably won’t watch.
I so totally agree with you. the blurbs are
on EVERY break along with the one for the Irvin’s new show. they both looked interesting at first but I am so sick of looking at them I couldn’t possibly watch the show. What a shame since I have been in rescue for many years.
Really? A new rescue show you won’t watch because of “too many blurbs?”
Shame on you – it promotes adoption of senior and special needs animals. Must not be an animal lover yourself.
Please dont judge like that… I am an animal lover, but I too am SO turned off by the commercials I doubt I will watch the show. That does not mean I don’t love animals, it means AP may have ruined a good thing for alot of people with poor commercials & overkill.
I agree. The same commercials every ten minutes makes her look and sound manic!
It sounds interesting I believe I’d like to see it.
I will definitely be watching, I have been following Amanda for years. Amanda and her beautiful family will shock and amaze watchers with their heartfelt love and compassion for the animals they give a chance to know love.
My wife, family & me will be watching. We are very excited to see the show. We know it will be a success!!
I will most certainly be watching the show! sounds interesting and cool!
I love Animal Planet and I already love “Amanda to the Rescue!”
Thank you!!!
