Last year the Animal Kingdom TV show rose in the Nielsen ratings, so it was in little danger of being cancelled by TNT. Now that it’s back for its fourth season — with something of a twist we’re not allowed to reveal — will the series gain even more viewers? Will Animal Kingdom be cancelled or renewed for season five? A TNT crime drama, Animal Kingdom stars Ellen Barkin as Smurf, head of the Cody crime family, with Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Finn Cole, and Sohvi Rodrigues. Emily Deschanel joins on a recurring basis as Angela, a recovering addict and former best friend of J’s (Cole) late mother. Season four kicks off with Smurf showing everyone she is in charge. This season also introduces a new group of criminals, who have a surprising connection to the Codys. Guest stars include Gil Birmingham, Leila George, Grant Harvey, Jon Beavers, Lucca De Oliveira, and Rigo Sanchez.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The third season of Animal Kingdom on TNT averaged a 0.39 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and 1.306 million total viewers.

They better not get cancelled. It’s one of the best if not the best show on TV right now. I’m sad to see the season finale come and go now I dont have anything on TV to look forward to

I hope it’s renewed for a 5th season,,,it carries quite the bunch and with Smurf gone I can’t wait to see how they are going to solidify the family and regain their reputation,,,

I love this show! I started watching it because I am an Ellen Barkin fan. I got pulled in pretty quickly! Now I’m all twisted up after the finale. I’ll keep watching it. I’m addicted!!!

Love the show. I am 67 and my husband is 70. Would love to see Jay finish his education and use his street smarts and brain
Show should go on but miss huge hole, j still hold bad mystery for perfect time. The ride she chose to go with j was or seemed like a what you need to do and how to corral boys. That’s why in finale preview accuses j of lies from day 1. Bet she recurring conscience to each boy and also what’s a normal on the show, to explore flashbacks. Theycould could focus on any of kids moving up. Plus preppers will kill 1 I am guessing derran turn to catch bullet. Hope show has years to come, think too early… Read more »
