TV show description:
Based on the Green Arrow superhero from DC Comics, this TV series follows the tale of billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). After being involved in a violent shipwreck, he’s presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote Pacific island.
When Oliver returns home to Starling City, he’s welcomed by his devoted mother Moira (Susanna Thompson), his beloved sister Thea (Willa Holland), and his best friend Tommy (Colin Donnell). They sense however that Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the selfish actions he took as a boy.
Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory.
By day, Oliver plays the role of the wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be — flanked by his devoted chauffeur and tough-as-nails bodyguard, John Diggle (David Ramsey). While doing this, he carefully conceals the secret identity he uses under the cover of darkness.
Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), is determined to arrest this Arrow vigilante that’s operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she’s let on and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

What do you think? Do you like the Arrow TV series? Do you think it should have ended with season eight? Would you have watched season nine?
Love this show! Have watched all seasons to date. There is nothing cringe worthy, whether too much gore or unexpected scenes of soft porn. Show will be missed, family show time will be diminished.
I can’t believe this show lasted as long as it has, it’s absolutely mind-numbingly stupid! We watched it for the first couple of seasons and honestly, I still wondered how it survived back then, I was certain it would be cancelled. But somehow it and The Flash survived and both are just….ridiculously bad television. The CW seems to be pandering to the teen/college age group which is fine…but their shows are all too much the same thing over and over again. I used to kind of enjoy The Originals, but I got really tired of it’s predecessor The Vampire Diaries… Read more »
You take the best TV shows off the air that was one of my best shows I really liked I don’t think I will be watching The CW any more Keep The Arrow on its is a great show…
It’s obvious the writers are running out of idea’s, this last season has been so bad. The flash forward story line is just painful to watch. It’s starting to remind me of Hero’s season 2. End it before you destroy it! The shark has been jumped on this one.
Spanky,
An Arrow-related future episode is actually a Legends of Tomorrow episode; S1, Ep 6. It’s set in Star City, 20 – 25 years in the future.
It causes more questions than answers.
If you haven’t seen it, check it out.
I texted Beth Schwartz, theorizing that LOT 1×6 is related to Future Arrow; she did not respond.
It needs to be renewed. One of the best shows they have. And when they do the cross over shows, they are awesome. Bad bad decision to end this series.
Really think the last season should be just as long as a regular one. I feel like after such a long period of devotion, the “powers that be” shouldn’t skimp on a windup of such a great series. Gonna miss this group of talent on a regular basis. Alas, there’s hope for some guest spots on the other DC Shows…
I think it should be renewed.
With Emily Bett gone, it doesn’t matter to me. She, ultimately, made the show.
Well the 7th season is a complete mess. It was a good show till season 5. I guess the old main characters run their course. In season 7, some new characters are introduced, the old characters sons and daughters. Badly, in a totally confusing manner and in a different timeline. Preparing us for a possible future ‘Arrow sons 2’ continuation. Poor Felicity, became a clown in the final season.
The only show I now watch on the arrowverse is arrow. It is a really good show. Oliver, John, and Felicity have made the journey of 7+ years and My family and I will miss it.
I do not want the series to end! Especially since the youngsters have just been introduced!!!!!
Happy about it ending after season 6 got bad didn’t like it got worse ratings and story after the island like that part show most when first started series. The flash be on for 20 years see it continue long timeline. Forever Arrow I can’t wait see how going to end it.
Season 20 that’s what I want and I would like to see a crossover with Arrow and Blacklightning
Renew it. Its action packed. Good acting, teaches kids valuable lessons in life.
Renew it. the last episode was pointless without. It was simply not an ending too many questions left unanswered
My husband and I have enjoyed watching arrow others that I have told watch it and love it it has a mixture of everything. Go Arrow
