What’s This TV Show About?
An FX black comedy, Baskets stars Zach Galifianakis, Louie Anderson, and Martha Kelly, with Alex Morris recurring. The surreal series centers on rodeo clown Chip Baskets (Galifianakis), his twin, Dale (Galifianakis), and mother Christine (Anderson). In season four, Chip decides it is high time to move out, but has a hard time adapting, despite the help of Martha (Kelly) and a life coach.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of Baskets averaged a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 327,000 viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 25% and 20%, respectively. Find out how Baskets stacks up against the other FX TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will FX cancel or renew Baskets for a fifth season? The ratings are low but I suspect that this show is fairly inexpensive to make (for a scripted series). I think it will be renewed as long as Galifianakis and company want to continue. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with any developments. One of The Best shows on any channel or platform. Such a mistake and disappointment the show won’t be returning. I hope someone with some brains takes and runs with it. Too good of a story to let it die on the vine.

I absolutely love Baskets. You never should have cancelled it. Better advertising would have been a good idea.
Yes!! I love Baskets! It is so funny. Love Louie Anderson as Christine. He is hilarious. Bring back Baskets for another season.
I first discovered this show this summer. Sorry I wasn’t there earlier to help with ratings. I love it!! Please don’t cancel. Maybe it’s not a hit with FX target audience. Hopefully another network can pick it up and promote it better.

Baskets is the only reason I turn on FX!
I don’t watch tv much but I love this show! All actors are superb & L Anderson/ Christine is so endearing. I’m saddened to hear it may be over soon. I think several people have not heard of this show & if advertised more, it would have more followers.
My husband and I love this show. It is our relationship show. We never watch it without each other. We love this show. I am so sad they are cancelling it.
