Black Lightning may be moving. Deadline reports the planned FOX pilot may take root at The CW.
From Mara Brock Akil, and Salim Akil, the new DC show will center on Jefferson Pierce, a retired superhero who suits back up as the wanted vigilante Black Lightning to help protect his family.
The show’s move to the CW would make sense. Black Lightning is being produced by Greg Berlanti, who executive produces several of The CW’s DC series, including Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow.
Neither The CW nor FOX have confirmed the news.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Black Lightning from DC Comics? Would you watch the TV show?
I’ll be looking forward to this. Is Black Lighting from Earth-1? Earth-38? 0r his own Earth? We’ll just have to wait and see.
The CW’s top 4 shows feature DC Comics superheroes, so it makes sense. Doctor, cop and lawyer shows have run their course – and all reality shows are awful – so I’m happy about this.
