What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Blue Bloods follows a multi-generational family of cops, the Reagans. Patriarch and New York Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) leads both the police force and the Reagan brood. Daughter and New York ADA Erin (Bridget Moynahan) is a single mom and the family’s legal compass. As the eldest son and a seasoned detective Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) sometimes uses questionable tactics while working cases with his partner Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez). His wife Linda (Amy Carlson) is a bastion of support. Golden boy and Harvard grad Jamie (Will Estes) is the youngest of Frank’s kids. He gives up his legal career to follow the family’s law enforcement tradition. The cast also includes Len Cariou, Sami Gayle, and Vanessa Ray.

Telly’s Take
While theBlue Bloods rating numbers in the important 18-49 demo are nothing to crow about, the show still draws lots of eyeballs to CBS. Even in its seventh season, Blue Bloods remains one of The Tiffany Network’s top five shows in terms of total audience, despite the fact that it airs on Friday nights. It also does well in syndication. Since star Tom Selleck is only signed through the current season, a Blue Bloods season eight renewal will likely come down to whether he and his key cast mates want to continue making the police procedural drama. Right now though, I expect CBS will pick up Blue Bloods season eight, provided all parties can come to terms.

What do you think? Are you happy that the Blue Bloods TV show was renewed for an eighth season? How would you feel had CBS cancelled this TV show, instead? How long should the drama series last?
I’m very glad that you decided to continue the show I think it’s one of the best and the cast members are great. If you cancelled I would have been very dissatisfied.
Phenomenal Show! Wonderful Cast and Scipt! Hurry up Season 8 and 9, 10, 11, 12…more, more, MORE! Can’t get enough! Bravo!!!

I love the show and all the characters. I have watched the same episodes over and over, and I watch with same enthusiasm.. Please keep this show on the air…Thank you
My husband and I love this show. Please air another season. God bless you.
I love the show it gets better each season
The show started off good, and I loved the fact that a family still got together for Sunday dinner, how ever there’s no such thing as a perfect family, law enforcement are other wise, everyone is perfect even the children, which are growing up. Real police don’t tell their children about every case they work on, and if the NYPD, was on top of the game the way this family is everyone, would be running to NY, to live and some of the comments made when it comes to blacks, makes me think they maybe down low racist, the only… Read more »

Very excited about this news. Great show. Watch reruns all the time. Thank you for renewing
Just heard Blue Bloods was renewed for Season 8. Great! Now I have to hope they do not get rid of Frank. Every character is great on this show.
I think Blue Bloods is the best show on tv. NCIS was my favorite but B. Bloods is a far better show. I watch re runs all the time. I think I’ve watched them all. I’m hoping you will keep it on I love it. I feel like I’m watching family when it’s on.
Love Blue Bloods. Make season 8 and many more. Look how long some of these other shows have been on like surviour and amazing race which I am sure takes money to make and as far as i’m concerned they could have gone off a long time ago. Keep Blue Bloods and pay them they are worth it all of them, without any of them it wouldn’t be the show. Love it, Love it! Keep it, Keep it.
