This TV series has managed to survive on Friday nights on CBS but the ratings have been coming down each year. Will Blue Bloods’ numbers be strong enough for the show to be renewed for season five or could it be in danger of being cancelled? We shall see.
Another police procedural series, Blue Bloods revolves around the Irish-American Reagan family and their work as part of the NYPD. The cast includes Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Amy Carlson, Sami Gayle, Nicholas Turturro, and Marisa Ramirez.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

What do you think? Do you still like the Blue Bloods TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a fifth season?
Please please do not cancel Blue Bloods. As far as I am concerned it is the best show on television. I watch it every night of the week.
I love the show. My Favorite, and have watched all and taped fifty three shows both networks CBS &WGN. I’ll watch Blue Bloods before any thing else on TV. l had rather you take all sports off plus Football, Rather than Blue Bloods. It’s # one on my DVR List.
I agree with Bonnie, Laurie, Diane, and others. Blue Bloods is a great show, well casted, well written. Hollywood seems to favor the younger generation with movies and TV programming. And come on! How can shows like Blue Bloods even be considered for cancellation and yet the Kardashians still go on…and on….and on…We are dumbing down America with reality TV and movie releases which insult our intelligence. For baby boomers there are very little choices for decent television and movie entertainment.
I agree with all of the veiwers to keep Blue Bloods on. it is a shame that we have more realality show than anything eles on TV.and also that anyone over 49 years old don’t count .i guess that is why we olded folk have nothing to watch.
So i ask you to PLEASE BRING IT BACK FOR SEASON 5 and give us old folks something to enjoy watching!!!!!!
this is a great series, anything Tom Seleck stars in is a keeper, the program is realistic, clean and very entertaining, has a terrific cast and I hope it stays on the air for many more series to com.
I also think that Tom Sellecks acting is wooden and formal and unappealable .not like the Selleck from prev years…the rest are doing pretty good but again, Sellecks acting is less than stellar.
Blue Bloods for,the most part but. I have a few problems with it. In the first season, the episode “dedication”, they were going to dedicate an atrium to the last son of the P.C…It appeared that the dedication was at a college so why is the P.C. wearing his uniform ? He should be attending as the father of his late son, not the P.C., which was showing off in my estimation. In every episode , the have a sit down and discuss latest investigations in front of everyone , especially those not connected to the cases so why are… Read more »
Definitely keep this show for another season
Blue Bloods is a wonderful show, very realistic and well worth watching. Please keep it on for another season. There is so much junk on TV now. Not all of us like trumped up “reality TV”!!
Blue Bloods is one of the best shows on TV, great actors, great story content and realistic, real life situations presented about the life of a New York City police family. Please do not cancel this show
please keep blue bloods on for more than 5 seasons awesome showand characters
I’ve been watching the show on Hulu plus. It is well written and well acted. I think it is one of sellecks best efforts. I like his mystery series too. But the character he plays is so dark. I have a hard time watching it. He’s finally overcome his cuteness. He’s a fine actor with an excellent supporting cast. And they can hold their own.also. Also, it’s refreshing to see a close knit family portrayed with all that that implies.
Blue Bloods is one of very few series good enough to be on TV. The cast is unique and the scripts are realistic. The interaction between the family members keeps you interested. The moral implications are archaic but still provide watchers with a standard that should be practiced more in our society.
It would be a shame to cancel this show it is one of the best shows on TV ,it’s family oriented and clean to watch ,there isn’t many shows like that left these days. DON’T CANCELL PLEASE!
Nancy, I’m in total agreement. Actually they should pay more attention to the older age vewers because they are the ones that spend more money.
Why are ratings based on the 18-49 demographics? Blue Bloods is on Friday nights when that group are out on the town not watching television. The more senior population is home watching TV and Blue Bloods is a decent drama show that appeals to that group. Most of the shows on TV are annoying, offensive attempts at comedy to appeal to the 18-49 group leaving the more senior groups with nothing to watch. Many of the shows on TV are an insult to one’s intelligence and the dumbing down of the population. I used to like Without a Trace and… Read more »
Blue Bloods is the best show that I’ve seen in a long time great scripts, wonderful actors. I’m not in the age group that the networks care about, but if they were’nt going out Friday nights the younger age groups would enjoy this too.
Please renew this show for another season. It is the best show on television. Please do not cancel.
