It seems like a second season of Bull might be a lock. Deadline reports a new showrunner has been hired for season two of the CBS TV series.
The freshman drama revolves around the brash and charming Doctor Jason Bull (Michael Weatherly), who combines psychology, human intuition and high tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick. The cast also includes Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Annabelle Attanasio, and Christopher Jackson.
While CBS has not officially announced a season two renewal for Bull, the odds are very likely. The show’s first season is performing well in the ratings and the drama is CBS’ most-watched new series of the 2016-2017 season.
Now, Deadline reports Moonlighting creator Glenn Gordon Caron will take over as showrunner for season two of Bull, heavily suggesting a renewal from CBS in the near future. Caron has also worked on Medium, Now And Again, and the FX series Tyrant.
What do you think? Are you watching Bull? Do you want a second season?
I truly love this show. It is smart, funny, dynamic and a real “grabber”. The characters are wonderfully developed too. PLEASE keep this show on the air. There are so few good shows out there. Thank you!
I love the show. Its entertaining, sometimes humerus and thought provoking. Its a thinking show. It brings to light the gifts and short comings of human nature. It makes me consider what may or may not influence my determinations. It should make all of us wonder how much of what we think and feel can be attributed to outside influence rather than our own experiences.
I love Bull don’t like JP. I am kind of bored the whole – hit on the female lawyer in most episodes routine – it is getting embarrassing. It is a good idea for a show and generally well acted so why try and make it about his dating relationships?
Agree, can’t stand jp, won’t watch if she is in next series
I agree, and he also seems to be ok about leaving any ethics he has when it’s something JP wants. Like the drug issue in the final episode. I don’t like the arrogance of JP, just not a nice character.
Love the show. I’ll be watching the second season
I’m not a fan. I think that NCIS has lost some of it’s edge without Michael Weatherly. If Mark Harmon misses some or all of next season for family reasons, I’m afraid that NCIS will fall in the ratings. Weatherly could return to NCIS and help keep the ratings up. Could have great storylines with Robert Wagoner as the child’s “nanny” I hate to think that CBS would sacrifice a top rated show to renew an average rated show.
I’m not a fan. I think NCIS has lost some of it’s edge without Michael Weatherly. If Mark Harmon does miss part or all of the season for family reasons, it might be difficult to keep the ratings up. Weatherly could rejoin the team and create some great story lines with Grandpa being the child’s “nanny”. I hope CBS won’t harm one of it’s top shows to keep an average show in the lineup.
I am happy, Bull was renewed for the 2017 tv season. I have been picked to serve on a jury and never knew there was a process behind jury selection. My case was an arrest with a drug charge. My background was the reason I was chosen for the jury. I worked in the drug testing field.
