Last year, the When Calls the Heart TV show saw a big rise in the ratings. Will the numbers continue to rise in season four? Will the ratings be high enough for Hallmark to renew the series for a fifth season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
When Calls the Heart follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher who’s been accustomed to the world of high society. Her life changes dramatically when she receives her first classroom assignment in a small coal mining town and, when she meets handsome Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing). The [su_hallmark] cast also includes Lori Loughlin, Jack Wagner, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
4/24 update: Hallmark has renewed When Calls the Heart for a fifth season.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Though Hallmark promoted season four as starting on February 19th, the two-hour movie that aired in December 2016 has a season four production number and Hallmark has included it as part of season four on their website. It’s for these reasons that we’re listing the movie’s ratings as part of season four.
For comparisons: The third season of When Calls the Heart on Hallmark averaged a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.06 million viewers.
What do you think? Do you like the When Calls the Heart TV show on Hallmark? Do you think that the series should be cancelled or renewed for season five?
Keep it airing at least for three more seasons or longer. I enjoy the program and the cast too.
This show is being brilliant family entertainment. Please keep the same Name him and Elizabeth have such chemistry. But the whole cast make this show a success. Can’t wait for season 5 in UK. We have has Coronation Street here running most evenings for years and this I think is so much better, i believe 1.5 hrs for longer stretches would be excellent and a hit
This is my favorite series; however, it is frustrating to go so long between the show “groupings” (for lack of a better word). It takes most of the first episode to reconnect with the characters – then just about the time emotional involvement with the characters is restored, the show is gone again. If Jack leaves the show, I will probably leave, too. It’s a great show as it is – please don’t change it. I think most of the audience would like more episodes at one time instead of so many shows that only last about 6 weeks each.
Please do NOT cancel the show. My whole family loves this show. It is a great family show.
Please keep the original Jack!!!! I can hardly wait for season 5. Seemed like forever before season 4. It just goes too quick. I wish it would be on EVERY week. Thank you for a wonderful series.
I love this show so I am really hoping it returns for a Season 5 as well as many more after that! I am very afraid that you are not bringing Jack (Daniel Lissing) back which I think is a very big mistake! Him & Elizabeth are the backbone of this show…and you would loose a lot of viewers if you decide to kill him off. It is so nice to watch a show on TV with core values something that is really lacking in the world today!
I love when calls the heart…. I’m so upset that season 5 will be next year- why so long? I look forward to Jack ( Daniel Lissing – no other actor please) and Elisabeth – (Erin of course ) getting married , starting a family. I also love Rosemary and Lee- can’t wait for these two to have kids ! I love Abigail and I adore Opal and Cody. I grew up with little house on the prairie and I enjoyed watching the characters become adults – ( i was glued with Laura and Almanzo)I’m excited That Faith found love… Read more »
Warning!! Watch the WCTH ratings fall through the floor once the fans realize that Daniel Lissing has been dropped from the series by WCTH to make way for Paul Greene the Hallmark stable wunderkind who saves kids in streets, protects Faith from harassment by Wyatt, cooks, prints menu flyers, diagnoses his own fx ribs, then surgeon, all with his ever present boyish (but aging) smile.
We liked when Calls the Heart when it was a 2 hour show. Then it went to a 1 hour show and so many commercials. Then all of a sudden there was no show and that was very upsetting. The show left me hanging and the marriage of the main characters??? I would like to see the end of this show please. There are not very many shows that are fun to watch and I really like this one. I hope you will be able to complete the showing and continue with the great characters. Please continue to complete season… Read more »
I have really enjoyed watching and I think their should be another season.
My husband and I really enjoy When Calls the Heart. We feel is should be continued.
Great family show rarely found anymore on TV Please continue it.
Yes, I think When Calls The Heart should be renewed for more seasons. Why?
Because I’d like to know if Jack return from battle; did he and Elizabeth get married; and because I think it’s one of the best television series on the air.
Thank, you for renewing when calls the heart. !!!!!!
Love this show. The cast is wonderful, enjoy the heartwarming stories.
