Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:
Cedar Cove was the first series launched on Hallmark Channel, and we are incredibly proud of the exquisitely beautiful three season arc it delivered. It was an honor to bring to life the kindness, consideration and courage of this story that Debbie Macomber envisioned. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the extraordinary cast, writers, artists and designers — especially Andie MacDowell, executive producer and show runner Sue Tenney, and of course, Debbie Macomber. It is a privilege to continue a creative working relationship with the incredible talents associated with this series — both in front of and behind the camera – for upcoming projects on Hallmark Channel USA and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

And you’ll see Brennan Elliott star with Mariah Carey & Lacey Chabert in the premiere of #AChristmasMelody Dec 19th on Hallmark Channel USA!
The last episode of Cedar Cove aired on September 26th and ended with lots of unanswered questions.
What do you think? Do you like the Cedar Cove TV show? Do you think that it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Would you like to see the characters return someday?

I’m very bummed to find out that there is no Season 4. I was so captivated by the series and this is a real let down. Please reconsider airing at least a finale show if not a whole season! There are definitely some loose ends to tie up!
I am so disappointed to hear Cedar Cove is canceled! I never missed an episode and now am left up in the air with no ending to the story. Why are you also starting a new series? So people start following it and have it also canceled with no ending. Why even begin watching another series knowing this is how you handle your series. You could at least have a movie version to finish the story.
Please bring back Cedar Cove!!!! It is impossible to find wholesome series anymore! Cedar Cove was awesome! Please bring it back!
Just crazy such a good series cancelled! Hallmark you must have a grand finale show! We want closure! Now you are bringing a new series to your Chanel. Will you also cancel that????
Was disappointed Cedars Cove was cancelled. I didn’t miss an episode. I would like to see a movie that wraps up all the unanswered questions from last season.
I’m looking today on Website for a date on Cedar Cove Series to return. And what do I find! It’s been cancelled! I guess I will cancel my Halmark subscription.
Please Bring Cedar Cove Back. People are tired of “reality” TV. This is the reason Gilmore Girls and Fuller House are coming back. People want to see feel good shows, which is why people watch hallmark channel. If you cancel the few good shows you have, why watch?
sad that it was cancelled. enjoyed the series very much.
I really love watching Cedar Cove!! Bring it back! You just left us hanging in mid air.
I have been looking forward to the 4th season of Cedar Cove. It is not far that Hallmark left us in the middle of the story. Please bring it back!!

I am so disappointed hallmark canceled Cedar Cove. I have been waiting for it. to start back up again .it was an excellent series and I enjoyed it so much every week. it was a clean nonviolent family-based good tv series.. Hallmark should not of canceled it. That sounds like an awful lot of loyal viewership to me ,how about canceling some of these stupid reality shows instead . I’m just now seeing this, as I have been looking for the new season to start. I am extremely disappointed at this news!!
