Chad is coming soon to TBS. The new series will premiere on the cable channel in April. The single-camera comedy stars Nasim Pedrad, best known for her time on Saturday Night Live. She plays a teenager dealing with his first year of high school, and he is on a mission.
TBS revealed more about Chad and his mission in a press release.
“CHAD – Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT beginning April 6
Chad, a single-camera comedy, follows a 14-year-old pubescent Persian boy (Nasim Pedrad) as he navigates his first year of high school on a mission to become popular. Chad’s friendships and sanity are pushed to the limits as he uses every tactic at his disposal to befriend the cool kids, while enduring his mother’s new dating life and reconciling with his cultural identity. Pedrad, who first made her mark on Saturday Night Live, is also creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner on Chad.

What do you think? Do you plan to check out the new Chad TV show on TBS?
Another thing I haven’t known a 14 year old boy Crying just to get to 2nd base with a girl not something I know and these people nowadays there even farther along and the girl that’s playing this does not know what boys are like and this needs to be fired quick
Never watching it
This is terrible cancelation recommend
Not in a million years
Looks simply horrible.No thank you.
Peter pan is a boy played by an adult woman; Julie Andrews among others. Perhaps she wanted the “teenage boy” to look extra awkward…
I’ll pass
This show…just on the previews looks horrible…just unbearably horrible.
Question with all a teenager actors tv has Why a woman play the role of a teenager kid?
Because she can.
Thank God there are only 10 eps so far in season 1. Hoping it’s canceled after a few eps. We won’t have to see these stupid commercials. I could not stand her voice or watching her mouth when she
talked on SNL. Sorry, freaks me out.
Seeing these commercials you know right away uts a girl playing a boy.
What is this, a Shakespearian play?!?
Then in a couple shots, you can easily see boob move under the “boy’s” shirt. If this was part of the character, Trans boy, I would get it.
It’s only doable in a skit comedy.
Wow, Dude…Nice guy…Attacking someone’s looks…So what if it echoes Shakespeare…Geezus…
Terrible show! Glad its canceled
Bill will not be watching this show it is not right and morally wrong!!!
No. Please cancel after first episode. And yes, I’m *****.
I just don’t understand this. Are there no capable teenage Persian boys in the US who can play this role? Why not give an opp to them? She can play the mom, aunt, or teacher. I am not sure I have ever seen a sitcom with teenage persian actors – this would have been ground breaking in a good way. This seems like some Scarlett J kind of mess.
You know she created the show, right? You are really downplaying her talent.
You know what is ground breaking? A middle-eastern woman writing, directing and starring in a white male dominated industry.
Again the question is asked cuz it wasn’t answered. Why couldn’t they find a Persian boy to play the role? It’s still groundbreaking with her writing, producing etc. but why not give a Persian boy this opportunity?
Or….since she created it…perhaps she could play a Persian GIRL????!!!! Sigh….there apparently aren’t enough ideas left in the universe to go around anymore.

Applause, Applause! See? Someone here *GETS* it!
Have you not been watching TV lately? Time to get off the white male dominated BS. And I agree with Harvey. I had to look it up after watching the commercial. I thought that “boy” looked odd. And remember Outsourced? Hilarious sitcom. Hate it was canceled but bought all seasons on DVD. also,
I feel bad was also good.
Yeah, Boiiiii…!
Could be a good script but still a women playing a teenager role i
Bunch of haters on here…Too many conditioned to think on the far white side…And YES…It *is* groundbreaking! If you don’t like her, the series, etc., then move on! You wouldn’t dare say that in person, now would you?
