Today, the cable channel also announced a fourth season renewal for the Chesapeake Shores series. There will be just six episodes this time around. Could that be an indication that the TV show will be replaced by one or more movies that focus on other characters? We’ll have to wait and see.

Meghan Ory, Emilie Ullerup and Laci Mailey to Star in Spin-off Based on Characters From “Chesapeake Shores”
Hallmark Channel announces it has greenlit a spin-off movie based on characters from its original series “Chesapeake Shores.” The world of “Chesapeake Shores” will expand into the movie genre with more stories from the O’Brien sisters, Abby, Bree and Jess, played by Meghan Ory, Emilie Ullerup and Laci Mailey, respectively. The announcement was made today as part of Crown Media Family Networks’ bi-annual Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.
“Our viewers have fallen in love with the O’Brien sisters, characters filled with pure joy, humor and heart,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “We are excited to dive deeper into their roles and shed more light on each of their journeys as these women balance romance, friendship, and family.”
The movie is based on characters from the novels Chesapeake Shores by New York Times bestselling author Sherryl Woods. Meghan Ory, Emilie Ullerup and Laci Mailey will reprise their roles of Abby O’Brien, Bree O’Brien and Jess O’Brien.
With the winter weather dreary in Chesapeake Shores and their own love lives in a complicated state, Abby (Ory), Bree (Ullerup) and Jess (Mailey), adventure to Rome for the wedding of a childhood friend. While in Rome, they discover the wedding plans are in complete chaos and the bride may have a case of pre-wedding jitters because she has gone missing. In an attempt to find the bride, the O’Brien sisters scour the sites of Rome and work to create a happily ever after, while ultimately realizing the romance they each deserve back home in Chesapeake Shores.

Hi I have watched Chesapeak Shores on Netflix here in Australia andirons am so looking forward for it to continue. I wish it would continue forever. There sure is more story lines there to follow.
No it shouldn’t end at season $ because the books go on to when Abby’s girls are adults. I think it should continue. There are some good fundamental family values in this series.
The series deserves to go on…its a fantastic series which has clean, wholesome story lines …truly fantastic

I absolutely LOVE CHESAPEAKE SHORES! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE KEEP THE SERIES COMING! CS is what I look forward to so I would be devastated if it didn’t continue!!! There needs to be more episodes per season…PLEASE
Look forward to the movie. I was hoping for a special Christmas show or movie with the O’Brien’s. “Christmas at Chesapeake Shores”, I hope for one next year!
It’s March 2020. Did they ever do the movie? I haven’t seen it or have seen commercials for it.
Love the idea for a Chesapeake Shores Movie. Really hoping for a season 5 of Chesapeake Shores with more episodes than last season. I love this family and their stories. Trace and Abby are my favs, but I love all the others as well. I think Bree is beautiful and she needs a handsome man in her life.
From my first encounter with this show I can not stop watching it. Everytime I have some free time I watch it. Am addicted. I love the chemistry and relationship between the siblings. The highlight of the this show for me is the love story between Trace and Abby. Am glad looking forward to the future of these two happily married and enjoying each other.
Love Chesapeake Shores. Would love to see Abby and Trace get together. A movie spinoff that doesn’t change the series story would be great

So, so upset if this show gets cancelled!!! I want to see Trace all the time! I really can’t stand that youngest girl. I won’t watch a movie with just those girls in it. You are messing up a good thing if cancel out this series.
I can’t get enough of Chesapeake Shores! Watching the series has been like getting a warm hug! It’s such a feel good show! I’m excited about a movie but please don’t stop the series! There is so much more material there for each of the characters. They deserve to have a few more seasons!
