TV show description:
This TV series provides a look into the lives of the everyday heroes who are committed to one of America’s noblest professions. For the firefighters, rescue squad and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51, no occupation is more stressful or dangerous, yet so rewarding and exhilarating. These courageous men and women are among the elite who forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way and whose actions make the difference between life and death.
The pressure to perform on such a high level has a way of taking a personal toll, sometimes putting team members from the Truck and the specially trained Rescue Squad at odds with each other. Despite any differences, this is an extended family, and when it’s “go time,” everyone inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other. When a tragedy claims one of their own, there’s plenty of guilt and blame to go around.
Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) is a strong, intuitive lieutenant who is in charge of the Truck. He’s still coming to grips with the loss of one of his men and, unbeknownst to his colleagues, is in the midst of a separation from Hallie (Teri Reeves), a hospital resident.
Matthew butts heads with brash Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) of the Rescue Squad. Each blames the other for their fallen team member.
Others in the firehouse include Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a fireman’s fireman who is confronted by important personal decisions; paramedics Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Leslie Shay (Lauren German), who share a close bond and team together to face some of the most harrowing situations imaginable; Peter Mills (Charlie Barnett), an academy graduate who is the latest generation in a family of firefighters; and Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg), a seasoned veteran who loses his home to foreclosure and now must uproot his family to move in with his in-laws.

What do you think? Do you like the Chicago Fire TV series on NBC? Do you think it should be canceled or renewed for another season?
Chicago Fire is an excellent program, showing the various situations and hazards that all fire fighters and EMTs face every time they are called out. I very highly recommend it and urge the network to please renew the show. It is most definitely worth it.
There are not that many good shows on these days and Chicago Fire was one of the few. Please keep it on
Show is too long. a half hour would do.
I love the show and have been looking for it at its regular time. Don’t cancel it, NBC.
This article is unclear. I cannot figure out whether the show has been cancelled or not. It just refers to the year 2012. I live in Chicago and therefore really enjoy the show PLUS it has absolutely addicting storylines.
WHAT IS THE REAL SCOOP or do I have to dig through a whole bunch of websites to find out? If it’s been cancelled then I need to clear the timer in my DVR.
It seems every website I go to gives a different response. Does anyone know FOR SURE????
“Series Status: Has not been cancelled” How is this unclear?
I LOVE this show. The acting, characters, story lines keeps me on the edge of my seat. Please continue this show…it’s the best one in a very long time!
Please renew. LOVE this show
I’m shocked that the powers that be would even think of canceling this series. It is so well written and acted, with engaging characters, not to mention the fact that there has never been, to my knowledge, a series about fire fighters on TV before! Give this series another season, please!
Mary, did you miss Third Watch? It was as much about FDNY as it was NYPD.
Fantastic series best emergency TV series since ER. Bring it back as soon as possible. Great characters and very good. Storyline.
Dont cancel its the Best. Love it
please do not cancel Chicago Fire. I watch I every week.
Please leave Chicago Fire alone! It is one of the best shows ever. I watch it every week, and DVR it if I am not here. Can’t miss TV. Don’t be like CBS and take off a good show that someone likes.
Love love love this series! Please do not cancel this series!
Please do not cancel. I love the show, very fast paced and great characters.
Definitely an engaging, fast paced series that should be renewed.
