What’s This TV Show About?
On Too Close to Home, a small town woman moves to Washington DC to start a new life and join the political scene. Following a major scandal, she retreats to the community and family that she’d been hoping to leave behind. The regular TLC TV series cast includes Danielle Savre, Kelly Sullivan, Brock O’Hurn, Brad Benedict, and Brooke Anne Smith. Courtney Burrell, Azur-De, Nelson Estevez, Angela Rigsby, James Shanklin, KD Aubert, and Crystle Stewart recur. Heather Locklear returns as a guest star.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Too Close to Home averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.08 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s up by 62% in the demo and up by 52% in viewers.
As of December 19, 2017, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC.
Could they bring it back for a third season?

Telly’s Take
The first season of Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home TV show averaged a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 713,000 viewers and yet TLC ordered a second season. Since the current season two ratings averages are way up in both measures, it seems highly unlikely TLC will cancel this scripted drama series. Too Close to Home should be renewed for a third season on TLC. Of course, if the ratings plummet, I reserve the right to change my mind.
12/19 update: Despite a sizable increase in the ratings during season two, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC, with no fanfare. Details here.

Why in the hell would TCL cancel the show been waiting to watch it’s a great hope they change there minds or another channel picks it up
This is an excellent show, each episode better than the one before… Get rid of some of this reality crappola and bring back good tv … Good tv is shows like Too Close To Home and others that leave you impatiently waiting for the next episode!!!!!
Too many un answered questions. How can you cancel a show without closer? Please at least bring it back to answer the questions we have! I really loved this show and have been watching for Season 3. Please bring it back

Bring Too Close Too Home Back. It TLC don’t want the show take it to OWN where the rest of Tyler Perry shows are. Then TLC will really lose out.

Let people at least vote on these shows..i.got hook on alot of good shows only to have them canceled after two.years..makes no sense..should at least give us an ending ..not just cut us off..

Tyler Please bring To Close To Home back for a 3rd 4th & 5th Season, we love your show and consider your Own Networks then, if the problem is getting it aired on other television network.
It’s not right for TLC to cancel Too close to home. I feel like viewer’s should have a say.
I have been trying my best to find out when Season 3 will start only to find out that it may not. This is a really good show and it would be so disappointing if it were to be cancelled. Please bring Too close To Home Back for season 3 plus.
