Is there no justice? TNT has cancelled the Cold Justice TV show. Star and former crime scene investigator, Yolanda McClary, has confirmed the cancellation via her verified Facebook account. Cold Justice no longer shows up on TNT’s show list. It is also not listed under TNT properties on Tuner’s press website.
An unscripted procedural drama from Dick Wolf, Wolf Films, and Magical Elves Productions, Cold Justice featured McClary and former prosecutor Kelly Siegler, investigating unsolved murder cases.
Last July, Deadline reported TNT, Wolf Films, Magical Elves, Siegler, McClary, and Alan Brown were sued by an acquitted murder suspect featured on Cold Justice, for civil rights violations, negligence, and intentional torts. There is no word on why the show was cancelled.
In April a fan posted to McClary’s Facebook page, asking if Cold Justice was returning. McClary replied, “I’m afraid not. But, we had a good run and I’m so thankful for all the fans that I look at as friends in my life now. I feel blessed by you all.”
A week and a half later, another fan posed the same question (and asked after McClary’s dogs). McClary said, “The show was cancelled by TNT. The production company is trying to find a new network. My dogs are doing great! Sammy is 7 months old already and as big as a mini horse. Lol.”
In the comments of one of McClary’s posts, another fan asked when Cold Justice would be back. On May 2nd, McClary replied, “I’m sorry. I don’t have any answers on that. If it gets picked up and when they have a shoot schedule, I’m sure a post will go out. 👍”
The official Cold Justice show page on Facebook has not been updated since January 26, 2016.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Cold Justice TV series? Was TNT right to cancel Cold Justice, or should it have been renewed for a fourth season?
It was one of the best crime shows ever. Please get those remarkable women back on the road!
My husband and I love this show. Please bring it back!
I really miss this show. It was an excellent show.
What a great show! I have been a fan of Kelly Siegler since she was trying cases and was on a “48 Hour Mystery” episode. I am very sad that they will not be back for another season. I think they had their dedicated fans who never missed a show, and those people who hadn’t had a chance to watch and get hooked like some of us.
Whatever the future holds for these two fantastic women and their teams, I hope to see them involved in some other production that will be invented, probably by Dick Wolf.
Miss you already!
I’m in disbelief the tv show Cold Justice was cancelled. There’s got to be another network that will pick it up. TNT made an unjust decision. It’s way too good of a show to be over. The spin off show was just getting started and had so much potential. I hope there’s a network out there listening who’s interested. They certainly do not need TNT.
Cold Justice was the best tv show about crime and cold cases I’ve ever seen. I recorded it religiously. TNT has made a MAJOR MISTAKE by cancelling this show and with no warning to their audience. I’m appalled by the worst, most erratic, terrible decision to cancel this show. These people are doing good for others while applying our justice system. There are several other terrible shows on TNT that should be eliminated because they’re not worth watching. When you added COLD JUSTICE I began taking TNT more seriously. BRING BACK COLD JUSTICE!! CANCELLING COLD JUSTICE IS A HUGE INJUSTICE!!… Read more »
Absolutely agree. Very good show doing lots for people looking for their loved ones.
This was a great show. No one else is working on these cold cases, why not them? They were giving a lot of families closure.
I am very sad to see that yall won’T be coming back. I TRULY enjoyed your show. Hopefully another Network will pick yall up, when and if yall start shooting again. Just so that I wouldn’t miss a show, I set my DVR to record every week. I pray yall come back. ☺
I really enjoyed Cold Justice and am sorry to hear of its cancellation. I hope to see it again on another network. Boo-Hiss TNT !!
I’m very upset there is cancellation of Cold Justice. I really felt like I learned so much. I know that killers have more rights than their murdered victims and families and friends. I liked the tenacity of Kelly Siegler. I loved hearing and seeing family members of victims get a sense of justice. Why can’t this show stay on the air and stupid shows leave the programming. BRING COLD JUSTICE BACK FOR SEASON 4 and many more seasons. I hate that networks have all this power to cancel and put on other shows that many of us don’t like. Thanks… Read more »
I am soooo unhappy that Kelly Siegler and Cold Justice are not returning anywhere. I like the series and the premise of the series VERY MUCH!
It is my educated guess that TNT and its corporate parent Time Warner could no longer expose itself to the potential liability of showcasing Kelly Siegler as a defender of the rights of the innocent. Her career victories as a Harris County (Houston, TX) prosecutor has come under much scrutiny for several instances of her prosecutorial misconduct . In short, the image she, “Cold Justice” and TNT needed to project for the series to continue was no longer viable. The woman sent a man whom she knew to be innocent to jail by withholding exculpatory evidence in the murder trial… Read more »
EBB you cannot always believe what you read. It’s true that she’s entangled in a bit of mess right now. However, she vehemently denies any wrongdoing and I believe her. Funny how this situation only surfaced shortly after she was instrumental in having a prosecutor disbarred over prosecutorial misconduct which sent an innocent man to prison for 18 years….12 of those years spent on death row. BTW she was also the person who reviewed Anthony Graves case & was the person responsible for eventually getting Mr. Graves freed & even fought so he could receive reparations that the State of… Read more »
You may think not, but what you’ve implicitly done is to become drunk on Kelly kool aid; the woman, for all her previous good works and high falutin’ bluster, abrogated her sworn duty to uphold justice as an officer of the court. You can’t really justify that, and as TNT realized, she’s not the proper image for upholding the side of “right”– but don’t be downcast; her cautionary tale of hubris will pave her path go somewhat ignoble immortality, especially with those who select the truths they want to hear…
As an addendum to my comment of 3/14/17, the next episode of the CBS crime-documentary series “48 Hours”, to air next Saturday 3/25, is a re-running of the Kelly Siegler prosecutorial misconduct show; it is very enlightening regarding her hubris in seeking to burnish her image at the expense of justice being served. Anyone who doubts the allegations being made against Siegler and her time in the Harris County District Attorney’s office should make a point of viewing this episode in the interest of formulating an informed decision. It changed my mind, without a doubt.
I think there is 2 cases now she’s known to have with-held evidence . All of her 68 cases are being looked at as well . So as a program based on finding new evidence she isn’t really the ideal poster child for it . Also the program has now been sued twice so maybe that’s also a reason behind it . It cold also have a bearing as to why Yolanda left as well . I enjoyed the program as well until recently when I learnt all of this . But won’t watch it should kelly be on it… Read more »
I’m very disappointed to hear the show will not be picked up for another season. I haven’t missed an episode and hope another network sees the light and Cold Justice can continue.
why? one of the best shows on tv
One of the best reality shows! Please bring it back!
