Is there no justice? TNT has cancelled the Cold Justice TV show. Star and former crime scene investigator, Yolanda McClary, has confirmed the cancellation via her verified Facebook account. Cold Justice no longer shows up on TNT’s show list. It is also not listed under TNT properties on Tuner’s press website.
An unscripted procedural drama from Dick Wolf, Wolf Films, and Magical Elves Productions, Cold Justice featured McClary and former prosecutor Kelly Siegler, investigating unsolved murder cases.
Last July, Deadline reported TNT, Wolf Films, Magical Elves, Siegler, McClary, and Alan Brown were sued by an acquitted murder suspect featured on Cold Justice, for civil rights violations, negligence, and intentional torts. There is no word on why the show was cancelled.
In April a fan posted to McClary’s Facebook page, asking if Cold Justice was returning. McClary replied, “I’m afraid not. But, we had a good run and I’m so thankful for all the fans that I look at as friends in my life now. I feel blessed by you all.”
A week and a half later, another fan posed the same question (and asked after McClary’s dogs). McClary said, “The show was cancelled by TNT. The production company is trying to find a new network. My dogs are doing great! Sammy is 7 months old already and as big as a mini horse. Lol.”
In the comments of one of McClary’s posts, another fan asked when Cold Justice would be back. On May 2nd, McClary replied, “I’m sorry. I don’t have any answers on that. If it gets picked up and when they have a shoot schedule, I’m sure a post will go out. 👍”
The official Cold Justice show page on Facebook has not been updated since January 26, 2016.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Cold Justice TV series? Was TNT right to cancel Cold Justice, or should it have been renewed for a fourth season?
My husband and I LOVE Cold Justice. What a treat to see WOMEN handling crimes against women (and others). Kelly and Yolanda had a rapport with each other and with the law officers of the towns they served that was unusually warm and effective. The mutual respect was a joy to behold. The tiny weak spot in the show was when Yolanda began merely doing cameo appearances. Kelly is fantastic alone, but the combo of the TWO women was beyond fantastic. In Cold Justice you have a show uniquely authentic. I cannot imagine why TNT was so foolish as to… Read more »
I’ve looked forward to having this show come back on! Why do these networks keep canceling the good shows! I certainly hope one is bright enough to pick it up!
Why on earth did TNT cancel this show? We always looked forward to watching it! Bring it back!!!! If TNT doesn’t then the other networks need to pick it up.
This is great show. Kelly has such a big heart and not only solves cases, but helps victim families move on no matter if justice can be served or not. They also help teach law enforcement how to close cases and bring to justice. Both victims families and law enforcement are better with this show. No other reality or series does this. This makes society better as well
They both are great ladies and will be sorely missed. I don’t understand how they can keep cramming this mindless cross family crap on us and let great shows like this be canceled.
They were so wrong to cancel Cold Justice. I looked forward to it every week and cannot even find it in Netflix. Bring it back, guys!!!
I cannot begin to understand why they cancel shows that have a huge following. The show even has 100% approval rate on rotten tomatoes of all things! I wonder if there’s a way to write the company. I’m so tired of losing good shows.
Wish they would bring cold justice back. I like the dedication these two women showed, their knowledge their dedication, and their tenacity. They truly cared about people they were helping.
No, they need to keep shows like this! Why do we have all that reality crap on tv that just doesn’t matter? These shows matter! If I’m ever blessed enough to win the lottery, I’d donate a good portion of it to these hard workers that work cold cases. Even though it’s not a tv show, keep up the hard work
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING THE SHOW BACK. I LOVE THE SHOW AND COULDN’T WAIT TILL FRIDAY TO WATCH. I’D LOVE TO HAVE THE SEASONS ON DVD. LOVE A LOYAL FRIEND.
No. They shouldn’t have cancelled it. I’m running out of reasons to watch TNT and they used to be one of my favorites.
It was a great show – should be renewed!!
Big mistake in cancelling “Cold Justice”, great show that shows the public that’s it’s never to late to find a killer, which these ladies did that for them, when basically their police gave up. If TNT wouldn’t continue with Cold Justice, hopefully another TV station willl.
I am so sick of channels dropping their shows when they are good shows with good results. There are so many fans of this show that it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to cancel it. They got results, the gave families closure, they did the work that lots of smaller police communities could not do due to spending restraints. I am so so disappointed in TNT……… . Do your watchers mean nothing to you? Does it not make you feel good to see positive results from cold cases that give closure to family and friends? Does it not matter to… Read more »
I am extremely disappointed that Cold Justice has been cancelled. The cast/people are great and more importantly, the work they do is extremely important. Having a brother who was murdered, the work investigators, DAs and countless others do in that line of work is vital to bring justice to victims and this show helped bring attention to those people. I hope the show is picked up by another network. I will definitely watch. If not, I THANK these people and others like them that work so diligently to bring justice to victims and their families. Bad decision on TNT’s part.
This was one of the best reality shows there was on t.v. It was actually reality, not some scripted show pretending to be ready. Bad mistake TNT.
