Austin is gonna be packed this year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this year’s ATX Television Festival will include reunions for The Comeback and thirtysomething as well as a This Is Us panel.
The Comeback starred Lisa Kudrow as Valerie Cherish, a former “It Girl” who is desperately clinging to the spotlight. The HBO comedy was cancelled in 2005 and then renewed for a second season in 2014. Thirtysomething starred Ken Olin, Mel Harris, Melanie Mayron, Peter Horton, Patricia Kalember, Timothy Busfield, Patricia Wettig, and Polly Draper as a group of baby boomers negotiating their thirties. The show premiered on ABC in 1987 and ran for four seasons.
In celebration of the show’s 30th anniversary, the thirtysomething reunion will include appearances from stars Ken Olin, Patricia Wettig, Peter Horton, Melanie Mayron, Timothy Busfield, and David Clennon. Fans of The Comeback will be able to see Lisa Kudrow, co-creator Michael Patrick King, executive producer Dan Bucatinsky, and castmember Laura Silverman at the festival.
Additionally, the festival is hosting a This Is Us panel featuring stars Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, NBC chief Jennifer Salke, show creator Dan Fogelman, and EP Ken Olin.
The ATX Television Festival takes place in Austin, Texas from June 8th to 11th.
