Move over, boys. FOX has ordered The Cool Kids TV show to series. The comedy comes from creators Charlie Day and Paul Fruchbom. Kevin Abbott will serve as showrunner and executive produce with Day and Nick Frenkel. Fruchbom is a co-executive producer on the new series.
A FOX sitcom, The Cool Kids stars Vicki Lawrence, Martin Mull, David Alan Grier, and Leslie Jordan. The story unfolds in a retirement home, where Charlie (Mull), Hank (Grier), and Sid (Jordan), have enjoyed their status as “cool kids.” Now that Margaret (Lawrence) has moved in, that all may change.

What a gem! Great actors, the writing is pointed, funny, and their delivery makes it. Even the music interludes are catchy. One of the best 30 minutes on TV.

Absolutely love The cool kids , that is going to be me one day , just like Vickie. Best show on TV. America has a huge over 60 population we need more senior shows on TV we are funny and with no filter . We have lived a long time and have a lot to offer.

The show’s OK but I have to ask, why are these people in a retirement home? Yes, they are retired but if you’re able bodied, why? Is the show trying to tell us these characters are poor? What are other reasons to live in a retirement home? I see people their age out and about all the time and they don’t live in retirement homes.
safety, activities, no cooking, looks more like senior living…does everything have to be explained? ..nice to see a show where I know everybody’s name…no Jennifers.
Some people don’t have family or don’t want to live alone . Some places like where they live I would not mind one bit living there

Wow! How can you go wrong with this cast! And, a new idea, one that us baby boomers can relate too. Finally!
Glad they finally put the three worst shows on tv out of their misery…..and ours, and took a giant step towards restoring some sanity to the entertainment industry. Tired, sooooo tired of listening to morons in entertainment talk about ‘pushing the envelope’ when they are really advocating just more crap in a package.
I can’t wait to see this! You have some great talent here and I will be watching!

This sounds like it could be funny. A comedy with adults and not young, beautiful hipsters who talk too fast and pretend to be awkward.
Absolutely LOVE this show. Really funny, great actors that portray that age really doesn’t matter. We cannot wait for this to come on every week.
Don’t cancel it. Let the writers make it better and better. They have fantastic actors to work with.
