Another television series has crossed over to the great beyond. The Crossing TV show on ABC has been cancelled after one season. The thriller, which made its debut on April 3rd, premiered with low ratings, and things only got worse from there.
An ABC sci-fi drama, The Crossing stars Steve Zahn, Natalie Martinez, Sandrine Holt, Georgina Haig, Tommy Bastow, Rob Campbell, Rick Gomez, Marcuis W. Harris, Grant Harvey, Jay Karnes, Simone Kessell, Kelley Missal, Luc Roderique, and Bailey Skodje, with Luke Camilleri recurring. The story unfolds in the small Oregon fishing town of Port Canaan, when 47 evacuees from a war-torn country wash up on the shore. The newcomers aren’t just any refugees seeking asylum — they’re Americans from 180 years in the future.

Why do they cancel good shows and keep trash shows? I don’t get it. ABC has very little in the way of good series shows and they cancel the best they had in a long while?? Shame on you maybe #Netflix will pick it up or #hulu, those companies seem to understand good entertainment.
Very big shame to cancel the crossing. It is a great show that involves thought and relationships.
I contrast shows like the bachelorette are akin to having part of your brain destroyed. Why does abc keep stupid drivel and cancel something worthwhile???

Somehow I caught a Sun. night by accident and there it was a continuation but that has now stopped. Cannot understand your thinking on cancelling this show.
There is so much crap that one rarely turns the TV on except for the news.
Shocked and mortified. This is the most compelling series and storylines since Lost. ABC you’ve got to give this show a chance! It’s brilliant.
I thought it was a great show. I binge watched it all the way thru. It’s disappointing to hear it’s cancelled.
The Crossing has been a really good show, which you can watch in family with older kids! We are sad to seeing go after we have enjoyed so much. There are other shows that keep going season after season are either too violence or no suitable for the family to watch together.
I am so tired of ABC starting off good shows and cancelling them. Then they put trash on like the Bachelorette. The Proposal, American Housewife, The Gong Show, Match Game, and a plethora of game shows on at night all suck. Who wants to watch that crap and it is hard to believe it gets a good rating. Put Rosanne back on without Rosanne. Better yet put her back on anyway because she apologized and yes people do talk out of their heads on Ambien. Worked for a doctor and saw it quite a bit. That is to bad because I really liked this show.
That’s it. I’m done! The Alphabets start a great series like “The Crossing”, I get invested and excited each week to view it, and then they cancel it without even “finishing the story.” It has happened to me time and time again. So, no more. I will not watch any series on ABC, CBS or NBC assuming that it will be cancelled and leave me (and other fans) hanging. First ABC cancelled Last Man Standing, one of my favorite show’s and now The Crossing. Maybe like Last Man Standing someone else will pick it up. I have to wonder about the management process at ABC.

The execs at ABC clearly dropped the ball on this show. All eleven episodes were solid and it makes no sense that it didn’t have a larger audience. ABC could have moved the time slot, changed the marketing strategy, or brought in a guest star who’d attract a bit of attention, but it did none of this. ABC had a good show on its hand, but it had no clue how to present it to the world. Such a shame.
